Management Development Club

The Management Development Club is the back bone of all the cultural activities conducted in the Institute. It

explores and develops the different skills like decision making, interpersonal skills and the most important among

all human skills, which help students building their career and future. The Management Development Club

organizes the events like Independence Day, Dhol Baje and Lakshya with a great thought of promoting national

integration through celebrating national and regional festivals to bring feeling of oneness and unity. It is great

source of utilizing and channelizing the talent and creative ability of students.

At V.P. Institute of Management and Research, Sangli

Chatrapatti Shahu Institute of Business Education and Research, Kolhapur (Csiber) Trust, established and developed with

taking the bequest of Chhatrapati Shahu's name. In the branch of Trust, the V.P. Institute of Management and Research,

Sangli (VPIMSR), Chhatrapati Shri. Shahu Maharaj Jayanti with various programs was celebrated. On this occasion,

Wreaths were offered to the statue of Shahu Maharaj and a Photo Pujan along with that the exhibition of books was organized

by Head of Cultural Department and Librarian Dr. Mrs. Aparna M. Kulkarni and Prof. Suhas S. Jadhav. The program was

guided by the honorable Principal Dr. R.A. Shinde Sir. Also the faculties Prof. Dr. R.M.Yallatti Sir, N.S.S. Chief Prof. A.B.

Patil was present for the programme. All faculty members and students were aided by this book exhibition.

"Home Eco Friendly Ganapati Workshop"

A workshop was organized by the Rotaract Club of Krishna Valley, Sangli. on Monday 29.07.19

at 12 noon at Institute. The workshop was arranged on the subject “How to celebrate Ganesh

Utsav as environmentally friendly in our home”. All the students and professors were present in

this workshop. Also, taking this initiative, an essay competition in the form of "Environmentally

Friendly Ganesh Utsav" was organized by MDC department.

Gangadhar Newspaper, Kolhapur felicitated as Gauravmurti

The Student of the Year 2019 Award is given by Gangadhar Newspaper, Kolhapur to the students for

their participation in various social activities and awareness of social commitment.

Students of VPIMSR, Sangli have participated in a one-act play in the “Youth Festival-2019” organized by

Shivaji University, Kolhapur. They presented the play on “She's Waiting” and acquired third prize at the district

level competition….

Women Empowerment - Awareness Program jointly organized by

Nirbhaya Pathak Group, Sangli and VPIMSR, Sangli Planning of "Women Empowerment-Awareness"

Hon. Mrs. Pragya Deshmukh, newly elected Inspector of Police, Sangli said that women should

learn to fight against injustice and get justice for themselves by learning about the laws. This

time she answered the students' questions and resolved the doubts.

In the oratory competitions under the anti-superstition campaign organized by the reputed organization "Maratha

Samaj, Sangli" in our city, student Abhishek Borgave from BCA-1has participated and secured the second prize.

An Occasion of Gandhi Jayanti and Lal Bhadur Shastri Jayanti , VPIMSR students had celebrated an event,

very enthusiastically with Street Play named as “Vande Mataram” and also carved with motivational Speech

of Abhishek Borgave, the student of BCA I on occasion of “Senior Citizens Day-1st Oct.2019”.

There is an event named as a “DHOL BAJE -19” was conducted by Management Development Club of V.P Institute of

Management Studies and Research, Sangli at 5th October 2019. In this various events were included as cultural activity.

“Celebrate Reading Inspiration Day”

„Reading Inspiration Day‟ was celebrated on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam at

the Institute of Management Studies and Research, Sangli. An exhibition of Dr. Kalam's books was presented at

this occasion. Also 16th Oct. is celebrated as 'World Dictionary Day', hence the exhibition of the dictionaries

was also held. The inauguration ceremony has taken in presence of our senior professor incharge Dr. M.M. Ali

Sir. Librarian Dr.Mrs.A.M.Kulkarni and all MDC students had arranged this event actively.

Management Development Club of V.P Institute of Management Studies and Research, Sangli on 4th Jan.

E-Lakshya Online Annual Gathering

E -Lakshya Programme was arranged for students during the Lockdown period. Due to the

outbreak of Covid 19, lockdown carried out as per the government order, all activities for the

students were restricted. Therefore, the MDC department of the institute has organized an annual

Get-together program for the students in online platform viz. E-Lakshya. In this program, various

competitions such as poetry, essay and video making etc. were held for the students. We had

received good response from the students for these online competitions even without coming to

college.
