The First Winter Arbitrons The Winter 2007 Arbitrons for New York, Los Angeles and Chicago were released today. (All shares and ranks are 12+.) In LA, KKGO-FM – Country since late February – posted a .8 12+, tied for 34th. A couple other LA notes: There are 31 stations between a 1.0 share and the market-leading 4.8 posted by Univision’s Regional Mexican KSCA-FM. And, how about Emmis’ Rhythmic AC KMVN, which dropped Country in mid- August 2006? It moved .7-.9 and tied for 32 nd . In the Windy City, WUSN was off 3.3-3.1. It ranked 10 th last fall and tied for 10 th in the Winter book. McShay Departs KRMD KRMD/Shreveport, LA PD Wes McShay has resigned the post he’s held since last July. He’ll be in Shreveport for the next two weeks and can be reached at [email protected]. McShay’s background includes stints as WDAF-FM/Kansas City PD, Clear Channel/ Huntsville OM and WKDF/Nashville PD. The departure leaves a prime opening at Cumulus.
