Recommendations

If you smell gas:- Do not use a bare flame, do not smoke, do not actuateelectrical contacts or switches ( doorbell, light, motor, lift,etc..),- Cut the gas supply,- Open the windows,- Extinguish all flames,- Evacuate the premises,- Consult your fitter or the maintenance company,- Inform the gas supplier.

In the event of flue gas emanation:- Switch the boiler off,- Open the windows,- Evacuate the premises,- Consult your fitter or the maintenance company.

Advised positions: Boiler- It is forbidden to store inflammable products andmaterials in the boiler room or close to the boiler, eventemporarily,- MCR boilers must be installed in a frost-free environment,- The boiler's ignition device must always be accessible.

Temperature:- The tap water temperature is factory set at 55°C; thistemperature can be set to 65°C- The maximum temperature that the water can reach in theboiler is 95°C. The temperature in the radiators can reachthe maximum value programmed for the boiler,- When the boiler is operating, the discharge conduit mayreach a higher temperature.

Maintenance: We recommend doing this at least once a yearMaintenance and cleaning of the heater must be carried out atleast once a year by a qualified technician.

Installation, commissioning, maintenance and repairs must becarried out by authorised specialists (approved heatingengineers / installers).

For a proper operating of the boiler, follow carefully theinstructions.

Aeration

France: the cross section of the aeration vent, which is compulsoryin the premises in which the boiler is installed, must comply with theDTU 61.1 (P 45 204) standard and, in particular, with the instructionon general improvement work (Book 1764 April 1982).Belgium:the cross-section of the aeration vents, which arecompulsory in the room in which the boiler is installed, must complywith the NBN B 61-002,NBN D 51-003,NBN D 51-006 standard.

The air inlet into the premises must in no event beobstructed, even partially.

Maintenance

The boiler must be serviced and fully cleaned and the flue gasconduit swept by a qualified professional at least 1 times per year.We recommend that you take out a maintenance contract.

Precautions against frost

MCR boilers must be installed in a frost-free environment.

If the temperature of the central heating water in the boiler falls toomuch, the integrated protection device switches itself on:- If the water temperature is lower than 7°C, the circulating pump is

activated,- If the water temperature is lower than 3°C, the boiler is activated,- When the water temperature is above 10 °C, the boiler is switched

off and the circulation pump runs for another 15 minutes.

If a room thermostat, connected via connectors 7 and 8, isactivated, the boiler will operate permanently until itreaches the outlet setting point.

This function is a protection device for the boiler only, notfor the system or buiding fabric.

Filling, bleeding and draining the installation

The water pressure in the boiler must be between 1.5 and 2 bar. Addwater to the installation if necessary.

Filling the heating circuit

Switch the boiler off.

- Open the valves on all radiators connected to the heating system.- Set the room thermostat to as low a temperature as possible.

Ensure that the boiler is switched off.

Wait until the temperature drops below 40°C and the radiators seemcold before filling the central heating system.

When filling the system, use the disconnecteur.

Before any work is carried out on the equipment / heating system, thepower supply must be disconnected (by means of the appropriatefuse or main switch, for example) and warning must be given beforeany reconnection. In the event of prolonged absences (weekend, holidays): Switch theboiler off.Boiler with antifreeze protection

- Set the room thermostat or the regulator: for example 10 °C.

- Define parameter P4 as 1 (energy-saving mode); the heatretention function will be deactivated.

The boiler will then only start up to protect itself from frost.

Boiler without antifreeze protection

If the central heating system is not used for a long period, werecommend switching the boiler off.

- Close the gas valve.

Switch on the boiler

- Checking the hydraulic pressure. The hydraulic pressure must bea minimum of 1 bars. Add water to the installation if necessary.

- Turn the boiler on. The boiler launches the start-up program. The display shows F XX: Software versionThe display shows P XX: Parameter version- The boiler will begin an automatic venting-programm (which lasts

approx. 3 minutes) and will do this every time the power supply isisolated. The version numbers are displayed alternately.

- The display shows :- 1: Ventilation- 2: Ignition- 4: Only domestic hot water operating- 7: Boiler pump operating for DHW heating- 0: The boiler goes into standby mode

- Set the boiler regulation to the desired values. The boiler will thenoperate automatically.

Error codeIf the boiler does not operate normally, an error message isdisplayed. If there is a problem, contact your fitter, specifying the alarmcode.

Maintenance and periodic checks

- Checking the hydraulic pressure. Insufficient pressure: add water(1.5 - 2 bar).

- Carry out a visual check for the presence of any water leaks.

- Open and close the radiator valves several times a year (thisprevents the valves from seizing up).

- Clean the outside of the boiler using a damp cloth and a lightdetergent.

Maintenance and cleaning of the heater must be carried outat least once a year by a qualified technician.

We recommend taking out a maintenance contract.
