Dear Candidates: The 2012 Election Session has kicked off this week and it will not be long until the finalstretch. The Mecklenburg County Democratic Party is here to support your campaign!
We want to inform you of the various services available to help support your campaign duringthe primary and general election season. The Primary Season support will begin on March 7th,2012 and the MCDP Coordinated Campaign will begin on May 14, 2012.
All candidates are invited to send information to the MCDP email address([email protected] ) to get information distributed to our email list.Information will be distributed in our monthly newsletter about upcoming events for your
campaign. You can also have a copy of your precinct activists list. The list will includetelephone numbers and mailing addresses, again emails will be streamlined through us.
During the 2012 Election Cycle each candidate is requested to donate $500.00 for theprimary and $1,000.00 for the general election. The buy in for the primary provides each candidate with the following support services:
• Phone Banking Space - There will be one night allotted per candidate on a weekly basis• Activist lists for your phone bank• Meeting Space for your Campaign (All meetings will need to be scheduled in advance
through the party email address at [email protected] )• Table at the MCDP County Convention, April 14, 2012 ($50.00 per convention packet)• Half Page Convention Ad ($300.00 per convention packet)• Candidate Sponsorship for the Trail Blazer and the Legacy Reception includes - 2
Tickets• If there is enough participation among Judicial Candidates, the Party will produce a
Primary Voter Guide that lists Registered Democrats running for Judges’ Seats.
Please note that the MCDP County Convention will take place prior to the primary on April14, 2012. Please see information attached about all of the options related to the county convention. There will also be the Trail Blazer and the Legacy Reception on Friday April13th..
The buy in for the general election provide each candidate with the following supportservices:
• Phone Banking Space - There will be one night allotted per candidate on a weekly basis
• Walk List –MCDP will provide one walk list per week if you choose to canvass over thephonebook option. Canvasses will be coordinated across campaigns for the generalelection
• Meeting Space for your Campaign (All meetings will need to be scheduled in advancethrough the party website)
• Coordinated Canvasses - MCDP Canvass Literature or Voter Guide Coverage at the Pollswith the MCDP Voter Guide Picture on the MCDP Voter Guide -
• Yard Sign Distribution for early vote polling locations and Election Day polling locations• Lunches for Poll Workers on Election Day (if the funds are available)• GOTV Support for Election Day• Individual Support for Candidates from Coordinated Campaign Manager

We ask that you mail your contributions to MCDP P.O. Box 34383, Charlotte, NC 28234 oryou may bring your contributions into our office at 500 E. Morehead St., Suite 106,Charlotte, NC 28202 no later than Friday, March 2, 2012. We ask that all who do not havea primary buy in for the general election cycle by March 2, 2012 also. Please send all buy
