What a whirlwind of a new year! Thank you for your patience as we are making the transition into our new home. It is truly a blessing! We appreciate all of your kind word and well-wishes. The kids (and adults) love our new facility, and we thank God for His provision! Please spread the word that we are here! Now that we have tripled our space, we have room for more dancers and gymnasts. We have added a Winter Session, and we are accepting students. Although the new students will not participate in the recital in May, it is a great time to start training. A few reminders about the new location: Parking to our south is reserved for Comer Holdings. All MCDF parents should make an effort to park on our end of the parking lot. Please do not wear outside shoes into the studios. Dancers should bring an extra pair of shoes for hip hop or fitness classes. Please be careful not to let backs of chairs scuff the walls. The chairs are placed in the lobby areas so that we can avoid this. Please continue to help keep our space clean! Use the cafe area for eating instead of the lobby. Also, make sure to remind your dancer to clean up af- ter him/herself. Our lost and found will be cleared monthly. Please check it regularly for missing items. It is located behind the reception desk. The dressing room (in girlsbathroom) is for dressing only. Dancers should not eat, hang out, or leave belongings in the dressing room. New Year...New Studio! Do you want to help us raise “dough” for our gymnastics program and mu-rals? The major work is done...we are in the building, now we need your help. It is our goal to purchase more equipment for the Flip Factory and to commission two artists to paint mu-rals in the 7 Mile and Broadway dance studios. These costs exceed our budget, so it is our hope that you will join us in a studio-wide Pizza Kit Fundraiser to help raise money to accomplish these goals. The sale will begin February 5th and all orders are due March 3rd. Orders will be availa-

ble for pickup on March 8th. For this fundraiser, the pro-ceeds will go toward the stu-dio’s costs in purchasing equipment and paying the art-ists. The top seller will win a Dance or Gymnastics Birthday Bash at MCDF! Please note: We do not accept checks or credit cards for Pizza Kit Orders. Orders can be placed online at Pizzakit.com. Shop under “Products”. Our Fundraiser ID # is 346699.

Our 17th annual performance “Island Vibes” will take place on Saturday May 19th (5 PM) and Sunday May 20th (3 PM) at the Ford Center for the Fine and Performing Arts in Dearborn. This recital will feature students who are in the full season program (September - May) classes and purchased recital costumes.

Many costumes may be viewed through your parent portal. More information regarding costume needs such as tights, shoes, and accessories will be sent out at a later date. Our annual production is a wonderful event. If your dancer is new, we invite you to come experience our production so you know what’s in store for next season! Tickets go on sale in April!

Our first pajama jam this season was EPIC, and we are so excited for our upcoming Pajama Jam Part 2! We are excited to have the space to really feel like we are at the movies! The Pajama Jam Part 2 will take place on Saturday February 24th from 6:00 - 9:30 PM. This time we will have two features going at the same time. For our little ones, Moana and more mature movie goers have the option to watch Captain Under-pants. Once again students are invited to wear their PJs, and bring pil-lows, sleeping bags, blankets, and stuffed animals! The cost is $10.00 per child. You must register in advance on Dance Studio Pro to RSVP for the event so that we can have an accurate count of the number of guests we can expect.

Yeah Mon….It is a Daddy Daughter Dance Year! This is the most anticipated per-formance of the year, and your dancer (ages 5 and up) can be a part of this special performance with a special gentleman. Dancers and their partners will learn chore-ography and perform it in our annual production on either May 19th or May 20th. This dance is one of the highlights of our show! We only do this every other year, so don’t miss out.

There will be six Wednesday and six Saturday rehearsals to choose from. We sug-gest that you start at the beginning, so that you can learn the choreography as it is being taught. It is recommended that you come to either Wednesday or Saturday practices but you may come to both if you feel the need. All participants must reg-ister on Dance Studio Pro prior to attending their first rehearsal. We will also pro-

vide a private YouTube link for outside practice. The cost to participate is $80. This includes a $20 recital ticket voucher.

Please see rehearsal dates below:
