The Institute of Health Management Research has been established as The IIHMR University vide Act No.3 of 2014 of the Government of Rajasthan. Why IIHMR University?

The School of Development Studies seeks to address the challenges of sustainable development in the face of persisting poverty in specific geographies, widening inequalities, new dynamics and interdependencies between 'rural' and 'urban', political and xenophobic conflict, and irreversible climate change. Of special focus for the School are the challenges of understanding the dynamics unleashed by India's adoption of policies of economic liberalization, macro shifts associated with the advent of globalization that has resulted in multiple disruptions wherein the substantive meaning of democracy, good governance, political freedom, pluralism and humanism remain fiercely contested subjects in today's world. Within the IIHMR University, the School of Development Studies is committed to develop a robust culture of inter-disciplinary reflection and inquiry by engaging with multiple disciplines, their exclusivities and overlaps in constituting the complex field of 'development'.

A Degree in Development Management is an outwardly

looking globally relevant programme which envisages an

integration of the challenges of Developmental paradigm

and an approach to meet these professionally. The

graduate from this programme would be trained in issues

germane to 21st century. Students would be equipped to

deal with those with knowledge in analytics, financial and

human resource systems, sustainable development

approach. It’s a programme that seeks total Developmental

Transformation for 21st century. These professionals would

also play a role in the country’s endeavor to attain

Sustainable Development Goals. The in-take capacity of the

program is 30.

Graduates emerging from this programme shall be

expected to join and contribute in

• Evidence-based planning, implementation, and

management of Rurban and Urban Development

Transformations

• Development Management of CSR initiatives

• Managing Flagship Development Programmes of GoI.

• Facilitate citizen engagement for accountable

governance of development transformation

The primary objective of the coursework is to facilitate

integrative learning, so that graduates can walk into their

professional roles with ease and play a vital role both at

the operational and strategic levels. Furthermore, the

course allows the students to specialize in domains such

as Financial Inclusion, Health Education, Livelihood

Enhancement Skills, Entrepreneurship and Natural

Resource Management.

Objectives of the program

This program develops a strong conceptual and an analytical

framework on sustainable and inclusive development issues

in the students. It also gives appropriate attitudes that are

required for a professional development manager

Students can work in enterprises, public systems in form

of policy makers, managers, analysts, and consultants

advising on operational efficiency and program

efficiency.

Willingness to work in challenging geographies / context

as it requires resilience, perseverance, emotional, social

intelligence, and courage of conviction.

Eligibility Criteria

• Recognized bachelor’s degree of minimum three-year

duration with at least 50% marks in aggregate.

• MAT/CAT/CMAT/ATMA/XAT/GMAT/IIHMR-U MAT

score.

Working professionals with relevant work experience are

encouraged to apply.

Candidates appearing in the final year examination of the

bachelor’s degree program or awaiting results of their

final year examination in 2021 may also apply. Such

candidates, if selected, will be given provisional

admission. The will be required to produce evidence of

their graduation within two months of the start of the

session.

for candidates who do not have MAT/CAT/ CMAT/ATTMA/

XAT/GMAT score but wish to apply for MBA Development

Management, IIHMR University will conduct IIHMR-U

MAT at the IIHMR University Jaipur on March 2, 2021; April

06, 2021; May 18, 2021; and June 22, 2021

The eligible candidates will need to appear for Group

Discussion (GD) followed by Personal Interview (PI). The

final selection off the candidate will be based on their

performance in the qualifying examination with a

proportional score in MAT/CAT/CMAT/ ATMA/XAT/

GMAT/IIHMR-U MAT, the Group Discussion (GD), and

Personal Interview (PI)

Selection Process

The GD/PI for qualified candidates are scheduled on these

dates: March 04-05, 2021; April 06-08, 2021; May 20-21,

2021; and June 24-25, 2021.
