    Mayor Oscar B. GoodmanDear Football Fans,

    The Las Vegas Locomotives are back for another season of high-quality professional football and it ismy distinct pleasure to welcome you. Together, the UFL and the Las Vegas Locomotives aim to

    provide every fan with an exciting and memorable game experience. I am proud to have this dynamicteam in our city!

    The UFL is known for embracing innovation and fan interaction and serves its local communities withpride and dedication. They have donated to the Clark County School District so that high schools canplay an extra football game before the season begins. This beloved annual event is known as Hall ofFame Weekend. Additionally, Adam Bergen of the Las Vegas Locomotives started 87 Plays, a localcharity with a mission to promote participation in school athletics. Jim Fassel and several coaches nowcall Las Vegas their home and a five year lease has been signed on a new football facility where playersmeet and train for the season. The local full-time staff is dedicated to promoting the Locos throughouthe community and since June, has hosted over 80 events throughout Las Vegas. The Las VegasLocomotives have made it a priority to give back to our community and for that I am truly grateful.

    As we begin another season, I am delighted to tell you about some exciting new developmentshappening in downtown Las Vegas, an area of our city that is undergoing a dramatic renaissance. It isevolving into a vibrant place for living, working, entertainment and the arts. Downtown Las Vegas iscomprised of an enticing mix that includes:

    The neon-drenched excitement of the Fremont Street Experience, visited by over 21 million peopleeach year.

    Multi-million dollar casino and hotel renovations and expansions. Fremont East Entertainment District featuring trendy new gathering places for dining, dancing,

    cocktails and enjoyment.An emerging eclectic mix of live-in artists and galleries known as the 18b Arts District.World Market Center, a state-of-the-art home furnishings trade show complex that, when fully

    completed, will exceed 12 million square feet with eight buildings. Symphony Park, a phenomenal 61-acre planned development anchored by two key projects, the

    Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health, designed by renowned architect Frank Gehry,and The Smith Center for the Performing Arts, Las Vegas first world-class performing arts facility.Symphony Park will also be the planned future home of The Charlie Palmer, a luxury boutique hotelthe World Jewelry Center, an important centralized marketplace for the international and domesticgem and jewelry trade; a boutique-style business hotel; a first-class casino/hotel with significant retaispace; abundant street-side retail offerings; a two-acre park; and an estimated 2,600 urban styleresidences.
