Acoufellaz is the official chorale group of the Mindanao State University Alumni Assocation. Itsmembers consist of a few college students of MSU, the alumni members of the choir and some

selected singers within General Santos City.

The groups mission is to provide uality music training related to singing and chorale music.!o encourage other chorale groups of General Santos to "oin local, national and internationalevents pertaining to music representing. And to provide spo#espersons or groups to givewor#shops and seminars to all interested groups or individuals within the city.

The group envisionsGeneral Santos City as a musically competent city providing groups orindividuals that may represent the city in any local, national and international events concerningmusic.

Acoufella$ left General Santos City on the %rdday of March &'() to represent the city in a

nationwide chorale and uartet competition.

!his is the group ta#ing a short stop at *aluyan Sarangani +rovince.

Upon arriving at the city of !agum around %%' in the afternoon, we went straight to the City

!ourism -ffice were we were escorted to our uarter at Manga ational /igh school.

!wo classrooms were provided for us and mattresses for us to use as beds. A water dispenser

was also given for our convenience.

0hile others were preparing for brea#fast, four of our ladies made their preparations for the

uartet competition singing the songs /alo10al#ing on sunshine and 2et It Go from the motion

!he ladies secured the spot for the (strunner up in their category following San Sebastian

College from Manila.

*ac# at our uarter the members of Acoufella$ where ma#ing sure their bodies had enough rest

to prepare their voices for the afternoon competition where they will be going head to head with

other choirs.

At around ( o4cloc# in the afternoon after ta#ing lunch, the members started preparing

everything, costumes, ma#e5ups and all that was needed for the contest which will be

happening at ) o6cloc# in the afternoon.

Choir after choir competed and the pressure was building. !here were moments that you have

to doubt upon hearing how good other choirs were.

8ust right before entering the stage, we too# another uic# prayer for guidance and blessing and

started wal#ing center stage.

ounce of music that our muscles can muster.

After all the choirs had finish performing, it was now time to announce the top % choirs of the

Musi#ahan sa !agum ational Chorale Competition. ;ight before announcing the winners, the

choirs gathered and sang altogether the song 9!agumpay ng Ating 2ahi:

where shouting for the entry number of their bets.
