A Message from your LTG

Hello Trojans,!

! ! welcome all to the start of the 2014-2015 Key Club Service Year. My name is Alex Tellez and since April 12th I been your Lieutenant Governor. It is a great honor to serve you all this upcoming year. I know that you Trojans can do wonders for our community and I am looking forward to seeing this division grow. Hopefully by now all 2013-14 Club Officers have help their elects with transitioning to the new term. If elects still need extra help they can participate in the Officer Training Conference (OTC) in May 17 at Clovis HS. This event is hosted my the Region Leadership Team (Region 12’s LTG) and is focus on training club officers and potential officers of the duties of an officer. Is also a great moment to meet your fellow Key Clubbers. Anyways the following months will be active for our division so I recommend all members to join the official D05 South Google Reflector Group to stay up to date in all divisional business. Finally I want to remind all members that you are not alone because you have me and the entire division to support you in anything so don’t be shy to contact be if you need any help in anything even dating tips ha ha. !

District UpdatesCongratulations on being elected (or appointed) and installed as a President! I am so excited to work with each and every single one of you during the 2014-2015 term. Though I have not met everyone yet, I know that each and every single one of you have so many great plans for the club you serve and I am more than happy to help you along the way. !My name is Jacqueline Tsang and I am currently a junior attending Crescenta Valley High School. I may be team captain for my school’s dance team, actively participating in Mock Trial, and take on a couple of AP classes, but nothing even compares to Key Club. !There are so many learning opportunities and moments to fall in love with Key Club all over again. The past couple of days I wake up and see my  campaign  literature across the room and then wonder if I am in some kind of dream… if I really am serving as District Governor… if delegates from Cali-Nev-Ha really elected me.  I felt the

Aloha Cali-Nev-Ha Vice Presidents! !To begin, my name is Darin Ngo and I am pleased to say that I am extremely excited to work with each and every one of you. Although I have not met with many of you in person, I know you have a passion towards service and dedication towards Key Club. As individuals, we make a change in the communities around us, but together, we have the potential to change the world. !I am currently enrolled at John C. Kimball as part of the Class of 2015. From AP classes, to family life, to Key Club, my days are most definitely BEE’sy. During my free time, I enjoy reading books/anime and love going on hikes. My journey through Key Club so far, has been amazing. I have served as a club president, as the Lieutenant Governor for Division 27 South, and now as the CNH District Treasurer elected to serve YOU! !This term will be filled with obstacles. We will

Hello, CNH Secretaries!

First off, I would like to congratulate each and every one of you on your election and installation. It is an immense honor to serve beside all of you as your District Secretary this upcoming term. My name is Cecilia Li, and I live in Sunny San Diego. I am currently attending Valhalla High School and a part of the graduating Class of 2015. Key Club has turned my life completely upside down! When I first joined as a freshman in high school, I had no idea how involved I would get nor how much it would help me develop my leadership skills. Now, it is amazing to look back through my still-ongoing Key Club experience- from learning the Key Club Pledge to shouting out my first cheer- and realizing how far I’ve come. I know I'm not the only one. Key Club isn't just a club; we're an ohana that grows together and leaves no one behind. This year will be an incredible journey full of ups and downs. Make sure you don't get so caught up in this experience that you forget about your support system. Remember, you are *never* alone. The entire district is cheering you on. Most of all, *I* am your support system. Never hesitate to

What are the Trojans Up To

Edison

Kiwanis One Day

Sarina Sylavong | Edison High School

Each year, Kiwanis clubs from all over the world join

in together for a day of service. It is known as Kiwanis One Day, a

day that consists of the involvement of the entire Kiwanis family to

make a difference in each community through personal

commitment and various utility projects. These service projects

ranging from playground builds, park cleanups, shelter

volunteering, or maintenance provision fill the specific need of a

community. This year on April 5th, the Edison Key Club showed

their service spirit by traveling down to Lost Lake to help clean up

the park. Our Lieutenant Governor Tina Saensombath, and other

members like Eric Reynoso, Sara Haley, and Nike Keovilay

donated their time to take part in this impactful, global effort. At

Lost Lake they assisted by scrubbing off the graffiti found on the

rocks and posts all around the park. By leaving the park graffiti

Mclane

Mcdonald’s Night !Ellen Phetsa | Mclane High School !

On February 27th 2014, McLane High

School’s Key Club got a chance to partake in a very

unique and different fundraiser working alongside our

local McDonald’s, who were very kind enough to provide

us with materials and also to use their store as a place we

could promote Key Club and represent our school. When

we got there, the manager at our local McDonald’s

welcomed us with open arms and immediately told us

what we would be volunteering and working that day. The

manager told us we would be working several jobs, like

any normal McDonald’s employee would do, such as:

working behind the counter, cleaning around the store,

working the drive-thru, making the fries and also selling

baked apple pies to raise money. We were all very nervous

in the variety of stations we would be working at, but

nonetheless very excited and ready to take on the
