WELCOME to the 2015 Dallas Pet Expo at the beautiful Dallas Market Center.

Our goal with this Expo is to educate and inspire the Dallas pet community. So many pet parents don’t realize just how many resources are available to them locally or have information about the numerous ways that the non-profit community needs their support.

During show hours of 10AM to 6PM Satur-day, you’ll have an opportunity to discover won-derful resources for the benefit of your furry and feathered friends; from adoption to Flyball and training to supplies, more than 130 reputable or-ganizations and companies are available to pro-vide you with the tools and information that you need as a pet parent.

In addition, please check out the variety of non-profit organizations, here in Dallas, which are in desperate need of recognition, donations, volunteers, and - most importantly - loving and committed homes for some deserving animals.

You’ll also want to make sure that you don’t miss our featured presentations on the Entertain-ment Stage and Activity Course, where you can learn about Flyball, Freestyle Dancing, and Disc Dogs. From a presentation by the star of Animal Planet’s hit show Pit Boss to a costume contest and pet first aid tips to volunteer opportunities and endangered spe-cies legislation, you’ll be sure to find something that interests you.

Amazing Expos, producer of the 2015 Dallas Pet Expo, is a St. Louis-based (MO) company with a staff of passionate animal lovers. On any given day, you’ll not only find us hard at work, you’ll see that our pet-friendly office is normally crawling with furry assistants (who often aren’t quite as helpful as they think they are).

Whether it’s Roxie and Xander, adopted from St. Louis Boxer Rescue, or Enzo, the resident wild child, wet noses and wagging tails are typically in abundance at work. This isn’t just another show to our staff - this is the realization of a dream to help make a difference in communities across the country. We also know that each community has unique needs and we are always looking for feedback and input from participants and attend-ees alike! Rossi has a special passion that has been a major part of his life since he was a teenager - championing the cause of Pit Bulls. Immediately following the competition, win-ners will be determined by audience applause. 4:15PM: Your Pet’s Health: Ask The Vet Q & ADr. Julius, Dr. Traxler & Dr. Cohen, Legacy VeterinaryOur pets play a huge role in our lives, but sometimes it’s dif-ficult to understand when they need help. How do you know if that medical procedure is really necessary, or if your pet is acting normally, or whether you should be concerned about a lump you found on Fido’s leg? Veterinarians with Lega-cy Veterinary Hospital - Dr. Kent Julius, Dr. Harold Traxler, and Dr. Jessica Cohen - will be answering all of your most pressing pet-related health questions, so come prepared to ask away, will be answering all of your most pressing pet-re-lated health questions, so come prepared to ask away!

10:30AM - 12:00PM: Dog Sports And Training DemosDance, jump, race, fly! What will your pet like to do most?

Come find out with Top Dog Obedience Training as they go throughout the day demonstrating (and letting your pet try out!) Flyball, a high speed race where dogs rush to the fin-ish line, pick up a tennis ball from a spring-loaded pad, and rush to take it back to their companions; Freestyle Dance, where pets are trained to dance with their companions to music; Disc Dogs, a sport where dogs will fly as high as they can to get their frisbee; and positive reinforcement training, a training method that uses a system of rewards to train animals! Be sure to stop by to learn more about their sports and training demos throughout the day!

12:00PM: Around And ‘Round We Go! Companion Mu-sical ChairsCompanion Musical Chairs is a doggy variation of the clas-sic children’s game: Music plays as handlers walk with their dogs off-leash around a rectangular area. When the music stops, the pooches and their guardians have to quickly sit and whoever is left standing is O-U-T. Anyone can play! To enter, bring your pet to the Activity Course at 11:45AM.
