CBOA General Meeting May 7, 2009 Location – St. Francis High School 1. Education – Mike Bittante Rookie clinic was a success, thanks to all who helped out. Standardiz ed training and evaluation is coming, stay tuned. 2. Member at Large – Grant Hoe Thank you to Ian Pollard for creating the newsletter this year. 3. Treasurer – Don Herman reporting for Evan PPresident There will be approximately $22,000 in the bank when everything is collected and paid out. Up to the end of March 2009 CBOA had billed for $422,000 in games, up 10% from that time last year. Cheques are ready to be issued tonight. 4. Vice President – Don Herman reporting for Steve Anthony A number of complaints were dealt with through the membership committee, seeing an increase in incidents relating to parents. 5. Evaluation chair – Rod Davidson. Thanks to members of CBOA who attended Provincial and National Cha mpionships. CBOA was well represented in medal games both provincially and nationally. 2/3rds of requests for formal assessments were met, need to keep looking for ways to improve that. 6. Assigning Next year John and Dick will be alternating the months that they are assigning. Dick will look after October, December and February; John will look after November, January and March. In order for the system to work people need to continue accepting games as quickly as possible. CBOA will be working with the high school association to better coordinate tournaments to provide better coverage. 6. President – Don Herman Extremel y pleased with CBOA representation at Provincial and National tournaments. CBOA has been well supported by both the High School and Sr. Men’s associations.

CBOA General Meeting

May 7, 2009

1. Education – Mike Bittante

‐Rookie clinic was a success, thanks to all who helped out.
