Joy can be ours as we receive the Gospel message. We have been learn-ing God's way through our study of the book of Philippians that Jesus in our life makes all the difference. His grace is an incredible gift as we receive the gift of Himself into our life. A partnership with Jesus changes us as His joy becomes ours. It is therefore crucial for us to live as the family of God because we are partners in the Gospel. I am asking that you pray for our Children's Ministry as we continue to elevate the importance of our church family and the individual families it represents. When school begins at the close of our summer, our Children's Ministry will be re-establishing our AWANA Club. I am super excited as I envision our church family coming together on Wednesday nights to elevate our family ministry. AWANA is an awesome vehicle to see not only our children learning God's
Word, but their parents and siblings too. As we memorize the Word of God together within our homes, and live out His teachings, we will see tremendous life change! The kids will have a blast as they learn God's Word, learn about missionaries and different forms of missions within the local, state, national and international fronts, and then have a blast playing AWANA games around the AWANA circle. We are currently enlisting our workers for our Children's Ministry who will be working with our 3-4 year olds, our Kindergarten through 2nd graders, and our 3rd through 5th graders. Their will be spots to help as team members within each age group as well as within missions and game time. If you would like to be on the family meal team, there are spots on it too. Maybe transportation is your spot on the team with driving the van or the bus. We will be sharing a meal together each
Wednesday night before all of the various Wednesday night activities begin. Be watching for organizational meetings along with team building and training events as we prepare to launch when school starts back.
The sound of children laughing and play-
ing and just enjoying life is a marvelous
gift. As I read through Scripture, it was
something that Jesus enjoyed too! It is
my desire to see our church filled with
children along with their parents coming
to be a part of the family of God at FBC
Metter. As we make disciples through
loving God, loving each other, and allow-
ing Christ to change our lives, and use us
to change the lives of others, I know the
best is yet to come!
