Help!!I the weather would co-operate long enough to dry out my logging roads, I could be out in the woods working insteado sitting in a dumb old o ce. While I still have a bit o wood

rom last year that needs splitting and stacking, the un part(chainsawing) is over until I get back to the woods. Te act thatI have a three year supply o wood already is just no reason to sitaround on my butt. Remember that having a 20 year supply toleave behind or the missus is still on my agenda.

While getting out rewood is still an important part o theOssekeag Woodlands Division, I also want to do some signi cantpruning o the orest to help promote a healthier woodlot. So my problem is what in heck can be done with tons o so woodmostly in the two to ve inch diameter range. Chip it or mulch?Low grade rewood?? Do you need it? Would you buy some?

Would you need delivery? Help me please!!So these are some o the questions that I would like to resolvebe ore ending up with the house surrounded by 100 cords owood. Te Ossekeag Senior Management Old Biddy Divisionhas warned me that every cord o wood sitting around is aserious danger to my health.

So please send me your ideas so I can do some advanceplanning. Do I need to upgrade the Ossekeag rucking Division

rom one elderly pickup?? Will the Ossekeag Heavy EquipmentDivision need to expand its eet o 30 to 45 year old tractors???Running a big operation like this is not childs play and probably not old geezer work either.

Un ortunately, while the President o the Empire has done anot too bad job with our Publishing Division, she has been very neglect ul o the rest o the Empire. I dont know how she expectme to compete with other big operations without getting moreresources!!!! Even our Corporate Jet Division is su ering rom alack o resources (Kibble)!!!

I it wasnt or that *@*@*@Publishing Division sucking uptime and resources I just know that the Woodlands Division andits associated divisions would just go hog wild with expansionplans. Oops, maybe the Ossekeag Senior Management OldBiddy Division isnt so dumb a er all!! Te universe never did make sense; I suspect it was built on government contract. -- Robert A. Heinlein 800

S AND up, S AND OuSome o you may have heard the recent news coverage o a 12year old boy in a school near Cambridge, England who has beenwearing a skirt to school. It seems the standard uni orm is ortrousers, but the girls have the option to wear skirts. Te boysare asking or similar consideration during hot weather by beingpermitted to wear shorts. Te young man has investigated anddetermined that the dress code does not speci y that only girlscan wear the skirts, so he has been borrowing a skirt rom hissister and invited local news coverage in hopes o having theschool reconsider the ban on shorts.I recall when I attended high school (way back in the dark ages)

the boys were allowed to wear jeans, the girls were not. It may be hard to remember a time when jeans were not a wardrobestaple, but it was actually a symbol o youth rebellion during

the late 50s and into the 60s. By the time I started high schoolin 1969, most young people wore jeans regularly, although wecertainly did not own the variety o jeans available today. Ourschool did eventually change the dress code and girls were givenequal opportunity to wear jeans to class - perhaps the choicebeing jeans or skirts that were barely as wide as a belt made thata easier decision!

What I have ound particularly interesting is the wide variety o viewpoints on this young mans protesting the inequity inthe dress code. Tere are those, including his mother, whocommend him or standing up or what he believes is right andtaking action to make a change in the world. Tere are otherswho believe he should suck it up, ollow the rules and be a goodboy. Personally I come down on the side o commendation andadmiration. What an amazing thing, that at the age o 12 hehas the initiative and ortitude to not simply gripe and complainbut to take action, to be not just a leader but to have also the

oresight to invite media attention to be his partner in thisendeavour. I will be curious to see what becomes o him in 20years. Certainly a young man with much potential. o be able to lead others, a man must be willing to go orward alone. ~Harry ruman. 801
