A MessAge froM the CeoI am pleased to advise members that Yaralla Sports Club has entered into an exclusive supply agreement with Lion Nathan (XXXX) which commences as of the 1st May 2018. This means the Club will phase out all Carlton United Breweries products from this date and will no longer stock such products for the duration of this agreement.
This deals means that we have secured long term pricing removing the need for price rises this year and the next, exclusive access to first run products and periodic off premise buy periods reducing the price of takeaway liquor. This agreement also provides sponsorship for our sporting teams including a $5,000 donation toward our golfing monthly medal prizes. It’s great to have XXXX come on board and support the Club with this exclusive agreement and with 93% of purchases already being Lion Nathan it made the decision so much easier.
We have two great promotions for members to be a part of during May. Dine with us on Mother’s Day and receive a free family portrait with professional photographer Natalia Muszkat or play the pokies for your chance to share in $10,000 cash in our Pluck a Duck gaming promotion.
On May 20th we have our Wedding expo in the GEC with the first 200 guests receiving a free welcome bag and on June 9 we are celebrating with the QASC 80’s Disco Reunion. Cover charge for this event includes complimentary cocktail on arrival and nibblies throughout the night, tickets are selling fast.

Inthepast8monthsLachlanhasparticipatedin6triathlons.Inthefirstfivetriathlons in the local area of Tannum, Yeppoon and Emu Park, Lachy has placedinthetopfiveinallevents.Inhismostrecent,theQueenslandStateSchools Triathlon Championships, Lachy placed 8th overall in his division and received a bronze in the team event. The 8th placing earning him a position as 2nd reserve, in the Queensland Team.
NATe GOURLeYGLADSTONe MARTIAL ARTS ACADeMY
Currently a grey-yellow belt, Nate competed in 5 different competitions in 2017 throughout Queensland. Out of 10 medal opportunities, Nate came home with an amazing 1 bronze and 9 gold medals, including 1 at the Queensland State Championships.

Joshua will travel to beautiful Tahiti in July to compete in the IVF VA’A World SprintChampionships.HehasqualifiedfortheindividualV1categoryandhisteamqualifiedfortheU166mancanoe,afterthecame1stintheircategory.
What’s even more amazing? Joshua has been selected in the under 19 Elite Division as a 15 year old.
DeCLAN CORkeGLADSTONe JUNIOR GOLF CLUB
DeclantravelledtoAdelaidelastDecembertoparticipateinthePacificSchoolGames. His Queensland team played 4 golf courses over the week and won a gold medal in the team gross event and silver in the nett event. Declan played some career best golf with his lowest score 74, 2 over par at North Adelaide on thefinalday.
Declan returned to the Gold Coast to compete in the Greg Norman Junior Masters where he was awarded the overall nett runner up in all age groups.
The Yaralla Junior Sports Star awards are now up and running for the 10th year in a row. With over $18,000 per year donated to great sporting individuals in Gladstone, this is undeniably the greatest sporting support program in the region.
