nikki webber allenNikki Webber Allen is a veteran of the entertainment industry with over 15 years of experience managing celebrity talent and producing content for media powerhouses including Warner Bros., HBO, ABC, 20th Century Fox, MTV, BET and TV One.In 2013, she experienced a devastating loss when her beloved 22-year old nephew ended his life after years of battling depression and anxiety. Since then, she’s made it her mission to spark awareness of mental health issues in communities of color. She believes that the cultural stigma of mental illness keeps many people from seeking help. To this end, Nikki launched I LIVE FOR..., a 501c3 nonprofit that uses storytelling, through multiple media platforms,  to end the stigma around mental health discussions. In addition to the #storiesbreakstigma social media campaign,  she’s producing a documentary to tell the candid stories of young people dealing with these disorders.

brianna aquinoBrianna is an 11th grader at The Met High School and a PeaceLove intern. She has always had an interest in mental health and the arts, and working with PeaceLove has been the perfect combination. Brianna has a passion for poetry, and has been writing since middle school. She plans to publish a poetry book next year. Her future goals are to go to college to get her Master’s in social work, maybe even become a CREATOR. Brianna has always struggled with her own mental health but has found ways to express herself through poetry, and that has helped improve her well-being. And in the end, all she wants to do is spread happiness and peace of mind to others, whether it be through working with PeaceLove, through her poetry, or being a future social worker. Brianna hopes that she’ll be able to speak to the teens (hopefully the adults too) who feel they can’t express how they truly feel. She hopes that for a few minutes you can find a little bit of peace and be empowered to share your story as well.

philip sheppardPhilip’s fascination with music began at age 3 when he was found to have perfect pitch. Naturally, his response was to play the largest and heaviest instrument he could handle: the cello. By the age of 10, he was touring the U.S., and at 17, he was awarded a scholarship to the Royal Academy of Music, where he was trained in cello and composition, and later became Professor. Today, he is known as one of the world’s foremost cellists and in-demand soundtrack composers. Philip was named as one of Origin Magazine’s “Top 100 Creatives in the U.S.” A popular speaker at innovation conferences around the globe such as C2MTL, the EG, and TTI Vanguard, Philip delivers rousing keynotes about the intersection of music and data, innate musical ability within all of us, and other topics that connect music to creativity, tech and introspection. His use of group games and exercises to instantly produce fully-fledged compositions remains a perennial favorite. Philip’s also a dad and a former pub quiz champion who draws great inspiration and solace from books.
