Our “Customers”

• Our primary “customers” have been those students who come to school with a background that prepares them to learn.

• Our more challenging “customers” are not willing to jump through hoops for the sake of learning alone.

• Most students in the U.S. are taught there are seven continents.

• In Europe, many students are taught about six continents, where North and South America combine to form a single America.

• Many geographers and scientists now refer to six continents, where Europe and Asia are combined (since they're one solid landmass).

20th vs. 21st Century Skills• In a 20th Century learning environment we

taught kids the answers to mediocre questions.

• In a 21st Century learning environment we encourage students to ask questions and we empower them to find their own answers.

The Gist

In a digital world, no organization can achieve results without incorporating technology into every aspect of its everyday practices. It’s time for schools to maximize the impact of technology as well.

Front #1• Use technology comprehensively to develop proficiency

in 21st century skills. • Knowledge of core content is necessary, but no longer

sufficient, for success in a competitive world. Even if all students mastered core academic subjects, they still would be woefully underprepared to succeed in postsecondary institutions and workplaces, which increasingly value people who can use their knowledge to communicate, collaborate, analyze, create, innovate, and solve problems. Used comprehensively, technology helps students develop 21st century skills.
