Start with Bottom side of Main Frame. Insert pivot point of Inside Boom Holder into pivot hole and lock in place with screw (O3 x 8). (Attention: Position Indicator is on bottom).

Put on Top of Main Frame. Insert the 4 pivot points into the 4 pivot hole on Top Main Frame and lock in place with screws (O3 x 8 ). Insert the 6 aluminum posts (PM2 x 3.5 x 22) and lock in place with screws (M2 x 5).

Connect the power cables to the 4-to-1 power connector, the battery connector should show thru the side of the main frame body (as indicated in drawing). Put touch fasterner tapes onto the bottom of main frame body for attaching battery.

Also put touch fastener on Battery pack and affix to bottom of frame. (If the battery is too heavy, you can also use GAUI cable tie with touch fastener to secure even more).

螺旋槳並非垂直向上,它應該呈現6度偏角(如下圖所示)。

用機鼻將螺旋槳固定在轉接頭上,並用螺絲將轉接頭鎖在馬達軸心的平面上(注意:1及3為逆時鐘旋轉用10A槳,2及4為順時鐘旋轉用10B槳,不可裝錯.。

The propellers after installation is not totally horizontal, this is normal, the deviation / tilt is about 6 degrees (see drawing).

Use the Spinner (bullet shaped part) to install the propeller on the propeller adaptor (threaded). Tighten the propeller set onto the motor shaft (Attention: Motor 1&3 spins counter-clock-wise and use 10A propellers. Motors 2&4 spins clockwise and use 10B propellers). Correct propeller installation is needed for flight.

Put on Yellow Labels to indicate Nose Direction (1 & 4).

飛行前請先了解你所使用遙控器廠牌,先設定命令值的正反向.(若不知道也沒關係,經過實際測試後再設定也可以)

Gain值由旋扭A調整(標準值約在最小值旋開90度左右,如圖)

飛行模式由開關1調整,建議開關向上(CRU)此時燈號為紅燈,此模式與直升機雷同,你也可以嘗試用HOV的模式飛行,兩者的感覺不相同.

開關2為45度與0度選擇,請把開關向上.至於它的功能請見變更機頭方向篇.

綠線不接時,GU-344會自動將搖桿的命令值變為如下圖右方的曲線以符合初學者飛行.

將綠線接到接收機的GEAR CH(或接到其它附有ON/OFF開關的頻道),此時飛行模式及Gain值皆由遙控器的GEAR CH(或已連接的ON/OFF開關的頻道)來做調整,飛行模式是由你所選擇的頻道開關之上下(ON/OFF)來做區別,GU-344的燈號會顯示所代表的正確模式(紅燈表示巡航模式"CRU ",綠燈表示停懸模式"HOV ")建議先用巡航模式(紅燈)測試,Gain值調整則為模式下的數據變化,各飛行模式下的初始Gain值可都先設定在50%左右,也就是設定"Switch(Gear) ON“的伺服機 行程量50%,"Switch(Gear) OFF"的伺服機行程量50%,再依實際飛行狀況增減.

3.Gain Value Setting: Is different depending on whether the green cable wire is connected to receiver or bypassed.

2.Read/Understand your Radio Control setup before starting. Set the “Reverse function” on your transmitter properly, refer to below diagram for the control direction of each channel for different transmitter brands or check each channel practically to set each NORmal or REVerse function correctly.

a. Bypassed *Gain Value is controlled by Trimmer A. (Default value setting is at 7:30 o'clock position, see drawing).

*The Gyro come with 2 built-in flying modes, it is recommended to set the GU-344 at cruise mode “CRU” (“Switch 1” at Top Position and the LED indicator is RED) for initial setting (500X control will be similar to normal helicopter in this condition). The hover mode “HOV” (“Switch 1” at Bottom Position and the LED indicator is GREEN) is for beginner to practice hovering. The flight characteristics are different."

* The Gyro come with 2 built-in Nose Directions (X or +), refer to page 15 for setting the Nose direction you need.

*When the GREEN Cable is not connected to receiver (Bypassed). The GU-344 will change the “Command Value” of control sticks into the figure on the rightbelow for beginners."

b. GREEN cable connected to receiver

*Put the plug (green wire) in receiver GEAR CH (or the Channel that come withOn / Off Switch), the “Flying Mode” and the “Gain Value” are only able to be set on transmitter GEAR CH (or the Channel which connected to the green plug). The “Flying Mode” is able to be selected by the On / Off Switch and be indicated by the lights of the monitor LED (RED for cruise mode “CRU”, and GREEN for hovermode “HOV”). It is recommended to set it at cruise mode (The LED lights is RED)for initial setting (The control of 500X will be similar to normal helicopter in this setting). It is possible to set the “Gain Value” by the function “Travel Volume”. The recommended initial setting of the “Gain Value” is about 50% for each flying mode.Set the value of “End Point/Travel Adjust” for 50% at “Switch On” position and set 50% value at “Switch Off” position then adjust by increasing or decreasing each value after each flight test as needed, until satisfactory control is achieved."

*When the green cable wire is connected to receiver. ”Switch 1” and “Trimmer A” are disabled. *The GU-344 will not change the “Command Value” of control sticks (transmitter) in this condition, set the Command Value of Control Sticks properly by the “ EXP ” setting on transmitter function.

初次飛行需校正四組ESC訊號的一制性(校正一次即可),否則會有低速啟動時,馬達有些轉有些不轉的現象.

打開發射機,先將微調置於中立.

將油門(THRO)桿撥至最大.(圖示為 Mode 1 遙控器)

將500X的電池接上.

此時你會聽到馬達發出登-登-登---登-登 5個音,接下來將油門撥桿朝下,此時你會聽到登-登---登 3個音 ,此時將500X的電源關掉,便已完成指令校正.(其它設定值已出廠設定完成,詳細內容請參考電子變速器 設定說明.) *若你聽到的聲音一開始是 登-登-登---登-登---登 6個音,那表示THRO的指令相反,請改變THRO的正反設定.

在執行電子變速器校正前應先把GU-344的陀螺儀關掉,你可以先將控制陀螺感度的綠色訊號線移除,並將感度旋扭A轉到最小(逆時鐘方向),等校正後再接回復原。

Adjust and unify the starting signal for each ESC before first flight to make sure each motor is run by its ESC with the same output signal. Otherwise under low speed start-up, some motors will turn, some will not."

1. Switch on transmitter power, set all trims to neutral.

2. Move the throttle stick to the top position (figure indicates the “THOR” control stick for “MODE 1” transmitter )

3.Connect the battery to the 500X.

4.After battery is connected to the 500X, the motor will come up with 5 corresponding tones (♪-♪-♪---♪-♪), move the throttle stick to the lowest position, the motor will comeup with 3 acknowledge tones(♪-♪---♪), simply disconnect the battery from the 500X, setting is completed (The ESCs are initialized with Factory Default setting for 500X, referring to page 17 for detailed information on ESC setting.)* If the motor come up with 6 corresponding tones after the battery is connected, it means your "Throttle command” is set to reverse, change your "Throttle command" to Normal on your transmitter and re-start "Step 2 to 4” above.

GU-344 stabilizer should be turned off while calibrating the four ESCs (*Remove Green Cable connection to Receiver, Turn Trim A to 4:30 o'clock position (Minimum GAIN), return to original conditions after ESCs calibration are done!

先將發射機開關打開(油門THRO置於最低點), 500X的電源接上後不要搖晃機體, 等馬達發出登-登-登---登-登(代表2S電池)---登 6個音後便可開始操作.

*向前指令

剛開始先不要將500X離地(在地上滑行),先測試螺旋槳轉動方向對不對,再來測試前後,轉彎及左右方向對不對,若有方向相反,請由遙控器做指令反向調整.(圖示為 Mode 1 遙控器)

*右轉指令

Move the throttle stick to the lowest position and switch on power of transmitter, connect battery to the 500X and do not move/shake it until the motor come up with 6 acknowledging tones (♪-♪-♪---♪-♪---♪), now it is ready for flight.

Check the operating direction of each motor and propeller on the ground first to make sure the500X is able to be controlled correctly by the transmitter. Set the transmitter functions properly if it did not come with correct response (figure shown is the “THOR” control stick of “MODE 1” transmitter).

Move the “ELE” stick a little bit upward to check and make sure the 500X tilts forward as shown in figure below (figure below indicates the “ELE” control stick of “MODE 1” transmitter).

Move the “RUD” stick rightward to check and make sure the 500X rotates(turn right) as shown in figure below (figure below indicates the “RUD” control stick of “MODE 1” transmitter).

指令無誤後,接下來將油門再往上一些,讓500X離地約30公分,若發現機體有抖動現象時,請將GAIN值調小到不會晃動為止.(GAIN的調整見系統設定篇)

Move the “AIL” stick rightward to check and make sure the 500X tilts right as shown in figure below (figure indicates the “AIL” control stick of “MODE 1” transmitter)

After checking that all movements of the 500X are controlled correctly by control sticks, move the “THR” stick a little bit upward until the 500X hovers about 30cm above the ground, if it shakes or wags in hovering, decrease the “GAIN value” until the 500X hover is stable (refer to page 12 for GAIN value setting on GU-344).

若要將機頭方向改為0度,此時只要將GU-344轉45度(面板的箭頭為前方)並將開關2撥向下即可,動力的編號及螺旋槳轉動的方向皆不變.

500X只適合用在X型

GAIN值越高機體自我安定性越好,GAIN值越低雖然越靈活但安定性較差。

注意電池殘餘量,因為電力不足會造成無法控制機體,同時也會使電池受損。

油門輸出最好不要超過80%,否則GU-344沒有多餘的動力做修正動作。我們建議避免大動力輸出, 或者在ESC指令校正後,再將油門最大值從100%降到75%。

因為GU-344陀螺元件中立點會有些許誤差,所以用遙控器作微調校正是必要的。

Change the mounting position of the GU-344 Gyro by reattach it 45 degrees clockwise to make the arrow on the GU-344 name plate toward to motor #1 as shown in figure below, set the “Switch 2” to the down position and simply finish the new setting of Nose Direction. The motor numbers and operating direction of motors and props will not be changed after setting.

1. Due to the neutral point variations of sensor elements in GU-344, calibration with transmitter control is necessary.

2. It is recommended not to set throttle output to more than 80%, or GU-344 stabilizer will not have enough extra power to stabilize the flyer.We suggest not to use the maximum power output of throttle; after ESC calibration, reset the maximum throttle setting from 100% to about 75%."

3. You must pay attention to battery residual capacity, as low power may cause the loss of control of 500X or damage the battery.

4. The higher the GAIN value makes the flyer more stable, The lower the GAIN value makes the flyer more agile but less stable.

NOTE :

Note: 500X can only fly in X heading mode.

三.選擇參數值:馬達會循環鳴叫,在鳴叫某個提示音後將油門搖杆打到最高點,則選擇該提示音所對應的設定值,接著鳴叫特殊提示音 表示該參數值已被保存。(此時如果不想再設定其他選項,則在2秒內將油門搖杆打到最低,即可快速退出程式設定模式: 如果還要設定其他選項,則繼續等待,退回第二步驟,再選擇其他設定選項)

一.進入程式設定模式: 1. 開啟遙控器,將油門打到最高,電變接上電池。 2. 等待2秒,馬達鳴叫 (嗶-嗶-) 提示音。 3. 再等待5秒,馬達鳴叫 特殊提示音, 表示已經進入設定模式。

使用遙控器油門搖杆設定參數分為四個步驟:

一.進入程式設定

二.選擇設定項

三.選擇設定項下的參數值

四.退出

二. 選擇設定項:進入程式設定模式後,會聽到8組鳴音,按如下順序循環鳴叫,

在鳴叫某組提示音後,3秒內將油門打到最低,則進入該設定項。

注:―長音“嗶——"相當於5聲短音“嗶-",所以在第二步

{選擇設定項目}中,―長-短(嗶——嗶-)表示第為6選項。

四.退出設定: 有如下兩種方式退出設定。

1. 在第三步驟,選擇設定值時, 鳴叫特殊提示音 後,2秒內將油門打到最低點, 則退出設定。

2. 在第二步驟,選擇設定選項時, 當馬達鳴叫出代表第8設定 選項的2長的鳴音後, 3秒內將油門打到最低點, 則退出設定。

3. Set item value (Programmable value): You will hear several tones in loop. Set the value matching to a tone by moving throttle stick to top when you hear the tone, then a special tone “ ” emits, means the value is set and saved. (Keeping the throttle stick at top, you will go back to step 2 and you can select other items; Moving the stick to bottom within 2 seconds will exit program mode directly)

效率與時間計算

一般飛行請使用2S1400mAh~2000mAh的LiPo電池,若總飛行重量超過900g則請改用3S系統,至於容量可依下表自由搭配.

飛行重量為電池加上其他設備的重量,500X的實際重量為670g.

若你想使用二組3S2000mAh的Lipo電池,那你的飛行重量為1320g(670+350+150X2),所以你的總電量為 11.1X2(A)X60(min)X2=2662 但此時停懸消耗電量為167w 所以飛行時間為(2662/167)X75%=12min

飛行重量(g) 建議使用電池 消耗電量(w) 效率值(g/w)

以上消耗瓦數為一般巡航,若做急上升將會倍數增加.

飛行時請注意電池殘餘容量,電池容量過低時會造成電池損壞及機體無法控制的後果.小心:

* 由上表可以試算酬載及電池選擇後的飛行時間

例如你用500X搭載HD攝影機(350g),你想使用一組3S2000mAh的Lipo電池(150g),所以你的飛行重量約為1170g ,此時你的停懸消耗電量為141w(如上圖),而你的電池總電量為11.1X2(A)X60(min)=1332 因此時間為1332/141 =9.4(min) 10.2X75%(電池安全係數)=7.1(min)

Power Efficiency and Flying Time

It is able to use 2S/1400mah~2000mah LiPo for normal flight without payload, it is recommended to use the 3S LiPo for the 500X if the total flying weight is over 900g. Refer to the Power Efficiency Table to select the battery which come with proper capacity.

The payload above includes the weight of battery, the weight of 500X itself is about 670g.

CAUTION : The Power Consumption Table is calculated based on cruising, the ESC output current may increase 3 or 4 times more for flying mode other than cruising due to increased power output. Make sure to check flying time carefully, OVER discharging of battery during flight may damage your battery and cause flight control failure of the Quad Flyer.
