CAREER SUMMERY I am a technologist that loves to tackle challenges and create powerful systems. I have prided myself on creating systems that give piece of mind. Starting my IT career as a VAR system integrator gave me a deep understanding of the hardware / software solution based engineering. Building a data center business from that expanded my experience with many solutions. Creating and maintaining systems scaled to the needs of business is one of my key passions and strengths. Many times IT is a cost center so I do have an eye for “ saving time and money is pure profit”. I have been the lead engineer at most of my jobs as the go to guy.
KEY STRENGTHS I have a quick mind that allows me to take on new technologies and apply them to the work place.
High level networking skills, ccnp / 20+ years using Cisco, Juniper, bay networks, etc.. from work group to the core, from SOHO to carrier class.
9+ years as a senor engineer for data centers Advanced computer builds ( render clusters, database clusters to liquid cooled servers) Training, Development, & Mentoring Engineer support ( supported lever 1-4 techs in NOC or Field Work independently, I can work with a team or on a task and stay focused self driven.

[ 2002 -2011 ] J.C.Evans Construction Austin,Tx Senor Network Administrator: Systems administration, network, and field support. Worked on all systems from server room to desktop support. Supported 500+ mobil devices, 200+ laptop and desktops and 30+ servers. Business closed in 2011 due to economy. [ 1989 -2002 ] MSI/Aperian/Fourthstage Austin, TXSenor systems and network engineer: A VAR turned data center as the dot com boom was happening. I was one of the original engineers that created and ran a 9 state data center business that pushed the envelope. Integrator for Siemens, sears and others moved into the data center. Created solutions from small hosting to credit card processors with 15+ racks of equipment.
SPECIALIZED TRAINING I have have been to many boot camps and certification courses for:
Cisco certification: starting with Cisco Support Pro. (before any of the CC certifications) to a CCNP classes in : Switching/Routing, Design, VOIP, ATM, Security and CCNP study courses.
Vendor related training from: Panduit, Veritas, Baynetworks, Sun, HP, Juniper, Iron Founder and more
HP star certified for Clusters, Printers, and Computers.
VM classes for sphere and others I have also researched many products for my clients and implemented with speed and accuracy.
