Prom Dreams Come True

IntroductionThe Goal ~ To provide free prom dresses and accessories for local young ladies. The Mission ~ Impact the lives of local high school Juniors and Seniors by helping make their prom dreams come true. This project is important because every young lady has the right to feel like a princess at prom and dress up for the prince. Projects similar to this one take place nationwide and we hope to start a grass roots project here.

Community BenefitsWe targeted NWA and we reached out to the community of students, namely young ladies, that will be attending NWACC in the coming years thereby creating a bridge from High School to NWACCWe hope that this is the foundation of a much larger project in the future….We have hopes that it will grow and develop much like the lovely ladies that we are trying to help. Prom is a very special time in a young girl’s life and should not be hindered by hardships. This project is to help build the dreams of girls who might not otherwise be able to attend their prom. Creating a princess is quite a joy and a blessing for us.

What do teens have to say about prom?

From the Prom Princesses:“By dressing in formal attire you show the world how you have matured and grown as a person.”“Step out of ordinary, into extraordinary”“Prom marks the end of your high school experience. It is one great last chance to hang out with all your friends for one big fun ‘last time’”“Hello to new beginnings and goodbyes to high school life.”“Prom is Promise... Promise to always remember this enchanting night of lovely decorations, food, music and company... "Promises last forever, never do they die... Best friends stay together and never say good- bye"! That's the real deal of prom...”“Prom is about the hype, about the fantasy, one night to be like the models on TV”

From the Prom Princes:“I think it's also somewhat a band of brotherhood for most guys. You feel really connected with one another all dressed up, all differences, peer groups, etc seem to disappear. I've never felt closer to my friends than on these dances.”“Do everything you can, go to every event possible, try every food, drink every drink, dance to every song with every person. Take advantage of every situation and make it the best, you never know when (or if) you will be having as much fun as you are right now. Carpe Diem”
