Commissioning Arrangements

Work collaboratively to develop strategic / operational approach to commissioning services:• NHS England• Public Health in the Local Authority • Birmingham City Council commissioners

Across a range of service providers including acute and community.

Maternity

Maternity Services• Antenatal Care• Intrapartum Care• Postnatal Care

Bethel Doula Project • Antenatal education and birth preparation

• On-call support as a birth partner

• Supporting clients in developing baby care skills

• Breastfeeding support

• Signposting to key agencies and public services

• Acting as an advocate for the mother, when dealing with key healthcare agencies• A mother’s group after the baby has been born

Disabled Children

• Short breaks provision – Access to facilities in the community – Respite care (Edgewood Rd)

• Equipment service Including third sector organisations being able to use equipment to support access to provision

Community Health Care

• Speech and Language Therapy• Occupational Therapy• Physiotherapy• Special Schools Nursing• Community Paediatricians• Community Childrens Nursing • Paediatric Liaison Service• Looked After Children Services

SEND – Education Health Care Plans

• Replace Statements of SEN• Needs to be completed in partnership with:

– Parents/Children and Young People where possible– Health Care professional(s)– Educational Psychologists– Social Care– Education
