A note from Fr. Tony This week we celebrate two important feasts—the Solemnity of All Saints and the Feast of All Souls. The Solemnity of All Saints (November 1st) invites us to remember that all the saints are joined together in the communion of saints. The saints are examples of repentance, faith, hope, and love. The saints are examples of God’s faithfulness and that God does indeed keep his promises. This day is a Holy Day of Obligation which means that this is a very important day in the Church. We take it just as seriously as Sunday. The Feast of All Souls (November 2nd) recalls that we are connected to the saints in heaven, the saints-in-waiting in purgatory, and other believers here on earth. We live in hope that the souls of the beloved dead are joined with the saints in heaven. All Souls Day is not a Holy Day of Obligation but there are a few Masses being planned in the linkage. Please see times and locations for all the Masses in the Mass intention schedule section of the bulletin. Finally, the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick will be celebrated during all the Masses on the weekend of November 11-12. Fr. Kevin and I will work to celebrate the Anointing of the Sick at all the care center Masses as well. For our homebound parishioners, don’t be afraid to contact the parish if you wish to be anointed. Fr. Kevin or I will be happy to visit. Have a great week!
P. Kevin o yo
estaremos encantados de visitar. ¡Que tengan una buena semana!!
