We remember that we, who again and again break the covenant established with God, are offered salvation through that same God who came as a baby to live, suffer, die and rise so that we may live forever with him. Isaiah 2:1-5; Romans 13:11-14; Matthew 24:37-44 PARISH NEWS ACTIVITIES THIS COMING WEEK: TUESDAY, Dec. 3 9:30 am Tuesday Morning Ladies Group 7:30 pm Parish Council WEDNESDAY, Dec. 4 1:30 pm Senior Fitness Class (last day) Will start again on January 8 7:30 pm AA’s and Al Anon SUNDAY SCHOOL (9 am Mass) for families with children 3-10 years of age: Dec. 1 &15 beginning at 8:50 am, in the Parish Centre. THE ADVENT WREATH is shaped in a circle, with no beginning and no end to symbolize eternity. We light the candles on the wreath because Christ is the Light of the World. The 4 candles symbolize Hope, Faith, Joy & Peace. The purple candles represent penance but the rose or pink candle (Lit on Gaudete Sunday in the 3 rd week of Advent) represents Joy. As the days grow darker, we light more candles, showing that the light of Christ is shining over the horizon. All are invited to join this interesting group for Advent.
