Masa plant configuration and technology

Masa delivers to Middle East most of itsprojects as complete production plants forthe mass production of concrete blocks. Allcomponents starting from the batching andmixing plant, block making machine, colourmix system, transport systems, curing systemwith galvanised steel rack and ventilationsystem, secondary processing systems, suchas a splitter, cubing system with cube con-veyor and its complete control, supportedby Masa’s unique Powertainer and Hy drau -tainers are delivered through one supplier:

Aggregate Weighing A moveable bucket on load cell collects therequired aggregates from each aggregatesilo and transports them to the mixer hoists.The weighing is therefore independent fromthe mixing cycle and speeds up the dosingsystem.

Concrete MixerMasa horizontal compulsory mixers have aproven success over many decades withmixing capacities from 250 l to 3000 l. The

In 1979 Masa began its success story in the Middle East Area with a first installation in Al Ain. Nearby, Pasco also had just started establi -sh ing the business to produce concrete products. In the early 1980’s Pasco bought the first Masa plant which was at that time the secondMasa plant in the Middle East. With this plant Pasco started to produce quality concrete products such as paving stones, kerbstones, building blocks, tiles, etc.

mixing cycle is optimized which gives shortmixing times with the best use of energy,cement and water. All mixers are equippedwith wear resistant materials. The mixer canbe opened from two sides for easy clean ingand access.

Block making machine XL 9.2 with transport systemNewest block making machines type MasaXL 9.2 can produce 18 blocks (8 inch) or60 standard paver (200x100mm) per cycle.All XL machines are equipped as a stan-dard with a fully automatic mould changesystem, continuous level control in machinesilos on load cells, draw sheet device, highwear resistant materials on filling box tablesand a visualisation system for machine oper-ations to facilitate the use. Wearing parts can be exchanged easily,e.g. wearing rails on vibration table orwear bars on filling box. Pallet transportsystems on wetside and dryside are drivenwith electric motors, all cubing devices, 4

sided centering to close gaps or doublerare driven by servo motors, this also includ esthe clamping.

Powertainer – HydrautainerWith Masa’s unique containerised solutionfor the power panels as well as hydraulicplant, Masa bewares its leadership in thisfield. The ‘Powertainer’ contains all powerpanels, preinstalled and dust protected.Similar to this the ‘Hydrautainer’ containsthe hydraulic unit with all necessary equip-ment executed as a sound insulated room.

Long lasting relationship

Masa’s 200 concrete block and pavermak ing plants in Middle East show theimportance of a good customer relations-hip combined with a high quality productand an excellent after sales and service. Similar to Pasco who purchased 9 Masaplants, many other companies in theMiddle East have decided to grow withMasa and to get their next machines fromthe same manufacturer.

Service and Spare Parts

As a result of having more and more plantsin the Middle East, Masa decided 10 yearsago to have its own company MasaMiddle East FZCO to deliver spare partsand to give the best possible service to theproducers. The office including a largespare parts stock is located in the FreeTrade Zone in Jebel Ali, Dubai.
