ARCHBISHOP’S DINNER & AUCTION: Will be held this year May 17th at Holiday Inn-Portugal Cove Rd. this event is
our principal means through which we raise the funds to support our many outreach programs and services . Tickets are $200
each or a table of ten $2000 Please contact Theresa Whiffen726-3660 to reserve your ticket. We are seeking donations Live
and Silent Auction, for example Gift Certificates, Merchandise (new items only) Crafts etc. Any donation will be accepted,

Prayer for Vocations, On this Good Shepherd Sunday we
celebrate the World Day of Prayer for Vocations. Pray for an
increase in vocations to the priesthood, and consecrated life,
especially for our archdiocese, that God will raise up Good
Shepherds in our midst. If you think God is Clling you to serve

ANNIVERSARY OF THE APPARITIONS OF OUR

this event with celebrations at the Basilica.3:30 talk on the
Apparitions of Fatima, video of the Portuguese and St. John’s
citizens procession with statue in 1955. 4 pm Rosary Pilgrimage
thru Basilica led by Knights of Columbus with honor guard.5 pm
Mass presider Archbishop Martin Currie, light reception to follow.

STEUBENVILLE YOUTH CONFERENCE: Join hundreds of
other youth from Atlantic Canada in Halifax from July 7-9th
as we
celebrate and learn more about our Catholic Faith. The Steubenville
conferences are held each year and offer young people an
opportunity to meet new people and hear speakers and music while
learning about the Sacraments and our church. For more

YOUTH AND YOUNG ADULT MINISTRY EVENTS AND
PROGRAMS: There are many opportunities in our Archdiocese
for youth to get involved with the church, learn more about their
faith and meet other young people. Youth groups, youth
conference, evenings of prayer, bible studies, catechesis, social
events and opportunities to volunteer. Just to name a few!
Activities for youth from grades 6 – 12 and we will be adding some
events for Grades 4-6 as well as adults interested in being involved
with youth ministry. If you would like to be added to our event
