There are more tears shed over answered prayers than over un-answered prayers. St. Teresa of Avila Bishop Brian Ashby, Fifth Bishop of Christchurch, was born in Belfast, Christchurch on 10 November 1923 and ordained a priest on 1 January 1954. He was appointed Bishop of Christchurch on 11 July 1964 and ordained as bishop on 5 August 1964 by Archbishop McKeefry. Bishop Ashby’s motto, visible on his crest, was His Light Our Way. Bishop Ashby resigned due to ill health on 4 July 1985, and died on 5 June 1988. He is buried at Bromley Cemetery. _____________________________________________________________________ Condolences The School family extends its sympathy to … Jackson Friesen and his family who recently lost a family member; and Paityn and Londyn Cattermole and their family. Paityn and Londyn’s great grandmother died recently. Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let Perpetual Light shine upon them. May their souls, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen. ______________________________________________________________________ BOT Vacancy on the Board of Trustees Expressions of interests are called to fill a vacancy left by a Trustee.
