REFFERENCES ARE FURNISHED UPON REQUEST
"Give me a child and I'll shape him into anything."-B.F Skinner
I believe that children not only need a safe and educational
environment but they also need a place that is full of love, care and
affection where they know that their ideas, opinions, and suggestions
will be well respected by the teacher and the class. The child is a person
to be valued. Everything a child learns growing up contributes to the
person he becomes. In my teaching philosophy, I aim to create
generations whose weapons are self-confidence and courage through
respecting every one's opinion. There is more than one correct answer
and that everyone's opinion is valued.
I firmly believe that children who are interested and invested in their
education find learning more enjoyable. Creating an environment where
children feel safe and secure through enough to explore the world,
socially, physically and emotionally is very important to me. While
providing them with learning opportunities and experiences, we as
educators also need to encourage and prepare them for challenges they
will face in the future. I believe that a curriculum that appropriate and
balanced, at the same time challenges and requires creativity is key to
preparing children with knowledge, skills and understanding.
Being advocates for these children in my care is of utmost importance to
me. However, I also firmly believe in parent involvement/ support as
parents are the very first educators of children. Children’s parents, care
givers, and families are the most important influences in a child’s life.
They are also their care givers and play a vital role in a child’s
education.
My teaching aspirations are to join a strong school in which I can gain
more management experience. While my long term aspirations are to
move into a leadership role with a well-established school, I am
currently willing to hold a classroom teaching position (KG2) so that I
can familiarize myself with the philosophy of the school and the new
culture/environment that I will be joining.

I am writing this letter on behalf of Mary Zaki. I have known Mary in my position as Head Of School at the International School of Egypt where Mary has been working since August 2013 and is still presently employed. During her first year with us she was employed as a Homeroom Teacher for Grade One. This Year she is working as KG2 Homeroom Teacher.
During her time at our school Mary has exhibted a great capacity for learning and aquiring
knowledge. She is very interested in new ideas and will seek out information on her own to help solve problems or find solutions to what is needed in the classes she is working with. She is eager to find what will work best with students that have different learning styles, and develop a program that best addresses their needs. She continually seeks advice from more experienced teachers and is very willing to integrate new ideas into what she is teaching. She is open to suggestions and routinely looks at her practice to see where imporvements can be made.
Mary has an open and easy manner with parents, students, and her collegues. She is flexible and
willing to take on different assignments on short notice. She will ask for guidnance when needed and takes constructive advice well. She has a good grasp of English both orally and written. Mary has shown herself to be a motivated and curious employee. Should you need any further information please do not hesitate to contact me at the address listed below.
