Facebook Marketing !!! Marketing effectively on Facebook is the key to success with our team. Here is a step by step tutorial that will help you get started. As you get more comfortable with this process you will find yourself trying new things – that’s ok! If you have success let the team know! We are all here to help each other. This is important, as you will not be granted permission to join groups if it looks like you live outside of that region. Facebook Marketing !!!

Marketing effectively on Facebook is the key to success with our team. Here is a step by step tutorial that will help you get started. As you get more comfortable with this process you will find yourself trying new things – that’s ok! If you have success let the team know! We are all here to help each other.

Set up at least 2 new marketing FB accounts - You will want to also use your main/personal account for marketing until the new ones are up to speed - Your new accounts should be as real as possible. IE: use different versions of your name but keep it recognizable. You don’t want to invite someone to a webcast and have them not know who you are! - Add friends- invite from our facebook members list, ad pics and “like” a few pages. List your school, work, and location but then mark them all as private, so no one but your friends can see them. This is important, as you will not be granted permission to join groups if it looks like you live outside of that region.

Request the new Facebook Graph Search - In your search bar type in the word “graph” – the first option you will see is “Introducing Graph Search” – click on that - Then click on the green box “Try Graph Search” - You will see a bigger search bar appear at the top of the page. This is the easiest way to search for groups to join - You may get put on a Graph Search waiting list. All FB accounts will eventually be moving towards Graph Search but they can’t be switched over all at once.

Joining Groups - We do all of our FB marketing by posting ads in groups. There are millions (maybe even billions) of groups. We only use buy/sell, yard sale, swap shop types of groups. IE – no specialty groups like “Asthma support” or “Coach Purse Swap” or “Horse Lovers in Indiana” - Do not join any job or work at home topic groups. Members of those groups are looking either for a job (not Melaleuca) or to promote their own business. Posting in them is a waste of time. - You will NEVER run out of new groups to join but you are only permitted to have 300 groups per FB account. So with your 2 new accounts can have up to 600 groups - In a new browser window and do a Wikipedia search for “counties in___________” – fill in the blank with names of states or provinces - Here is a screen shot of some counties in Texas

- A quick way to search for groups to join is to have 2 windows open at the same time. One in Wiki and one in FB.

-Type your search criteria into FB like this: groups named “_________ county” (important to use the quotations) then hit enter. - When the groups appear, you will see in small blue letters if any of your friends are current members of those groups (see pic below)

- You can also try more creative searching by leaving out a specific county or city name and search by state or provinces – full names and acronyms. IE “Texas swap” , “MT sell”, “Ontario yard sale”, “BC moms”

- Try searching by common area names, like the words county, region, area, river, valley, eastern, western, central, middle, upper, st., saint, greater etc. IE: “river swap” might lead you to the River Valley swap shop and “greater buy” might lead you to the Greater Detroit area buy sell. -Try not to join groups where friends have already joined. If you are using your alias account, be sure to invite as many friends as you can from our Enhancing Lives facebook members list so you will be able to see what groups they have joined. - Scroll down until you find ones that have no mutual members or do a new search. You want to join buy/sell/swap etc. types of groups. -To join groups click on the join tab then hit the back button to bring you back to the search page. You can keep scrolling down forever! - It doesn’t matter if you join closed or open groups. But keep in mind that all of your FB friends can see when you post in open groups – not cool if you are using your personal account but perfectly fine if you are posting with your marketing account – you can decide. - If you see a warning message like the one below, DO NOT fill in the CAPTCHA form. Just close out of that facebook account and move to another one or come back later:

- It takes time for the admins of the groups to approve you, so be patient. You will see the approvals appear in your notifications. As you get approved, you can start posting in the groups. You will find your groups in the left menu bar of your FB homepage. Click on the word “GROUPS” to open them up in a full screen window. (see pic below)

Posting in Groups - When you start to post in groups you should do so from the bottom up in this main page, since groups appear in the order last visited. This will prevent you from posting too frequently. It is recommended to not post more than once every 4 days per group (see pic below)

- Before posting the ad, scroll down at least 2 screen pages to make sure there are no other Melaleuca-type ads – even if they are posted from members who are not on our team. This will look less than professional and we don’t want the groups to get saturated.

- We have had the most success with business / income oriented ads. Products and wellness ads don’t seem to catch attention like the business ones do. I guess “going green” isn’t enough of a hot button. Sad but true! In the end, we always find our customers though. At least half of the webcast discussion is dedicated to Melaleuca’s amazing products, so they will still see the full picture.

-Your ad posts should be short and simple. Always start with a variation of the phrase “Admins – please remove if it’s not ok to post here” - Here are some examples of ads our team has been having success with

- Do not copy these ads. Please create your own so they will be unique.

Experiment with the final sentence to see what works best for you. If you have a more time and can respond quickly to FB messages and comments you might find the best success with requesting they message with their email address or PM you. If you only have limited time (ie work full time and have a couple of hours in the evenings) you may find directing all traffic to your Enhancing Lives website the best route. That way you have one location where all contact info is “stored.”

- You should be posting 50 – 100 ads per day. Once you get into a routine, this will take you about 30 minutes –.

Handling Responses - You will receive notifications on comments to your post and new messages. But you won’t get notified on messages that go into your “other” folder – they seem to go there randomly! These tabs are at the top of your FB homepage. Notifications is the image of the world (see pic below)

- Didn’t know you had an “other” folder in your message area? Most people don’t. Check there often.

- You will get the following types of responses: o Comments like “please send info” o Comments with their emails and even phone numbers o Comments that say “scam” or “too good to be true” o FB messages asking for more info o FB messages with emails and/or phone numbers

- “Please send info” – hover your mouse over their name and you will see a small box appear with an option to message them without having to leave the page. Then post a comment below theirs to suggest they check the “other” folder in their message area (most people don’t know that this exists! – it’s where messages often go from non-friends) – see pic below

- If you don’t see an option in the pop-up box to message them it means their privacy settings won’t allow messages from non-friends. Post a comment linking their name asking them to PM you so you can reply. FB will automatically populate a link to the name of anyone who has posted a comment as soon as you start typing their name – you can tell because it will appear in blue.

- “Scam” or “spam” – if there are lot of positive comments, just ignore. If not, right mouse click on the poster’s name and open in new tab, then “hide” their comment (since you are the originator of the post you have the authority to hide their comment from public view), then in the new tab block them – you can do this by selecting the drop down menu from the small gear wheel symbol on the right hand top corner of their FB page (see pics below) 12

- When you get someone’s email – either by a comment or PM (phone number is a bonus!) don’t email them the reply script – still use FB to message back and forth. But take their name and email address and add to your Enhancing Lives back office contact list area under “Facebook Leads” so you will never lose a lead and can still communicate without having to go back to FB (ie to remind them of a webcast, or send a follow-up email post webcast etc.)

- If you are getting more emails and phone numbers than you can handle and are finding it cumbersome to keep going back and forth between FB and EnhLives, just copy and paste the names, emails and phone numbers into a word or excel doc and then add them to your Enhancinglivesathome.com website when you are finished.

- Comment back on your post to let them know you sent the info and ask them to let you know if they don’t get it. Keep in mind that commenting on your own post is a great way to keep bumping it to the top of the group and get more attention

- This is the response we recommend – this is MY story – please edit to change to your own story.

You can post your Enhancinglivesathome site and signature at the bottom of the message.

Here are a few examples of how our team members have made their stories sound great even though they’re new!

** I am a stay at home of 3. My children are 3, 7 and 10 years old. I am really enjoying working from home! We have an amazing team, lots of support and I can choose my own hours. ** I am a working mom of 2 pre-teens. When they reply back say this:

Boy you sound super busy! (or some other appropriate comment). This might be a perfect fit for you. Do you have access to a laptop or PC and between 10 - 15 hours available per week?

When they reply back say this:

Great! Can you let me know what state or province you're in so I can determine your time-zone? (if I don't already know)

** Note – you can often find out their location based on where the ad post was they responded to or even by hovering your mouse over their name – it bring up a pop up with their pic and a few words about where they work (you can google it and found out the location). Sometimes when they reply to you it will even appear in a light grey font below their reply – see pic below.

When they reply back say this:

Would you be available today at 1:00 EST (or their time zone) to view an online business overview? It is the best way to get all the info about what we do and how we get paid. Print out our monthly calendar and choose one or two time you are available to watch with them.

When they confirm say this:

Great! Please begin logging in at least 10 minutes before the hour at wwwyourweboverview.com. Type your name in the Guest Area like his: G-Susan-ON(youname). I will meet you there :-) I will also need your phone number to get you registered.

When they reply back I let them know I'll be sending the log in info about 10 -15 mins ahead of time, no earlier .. Instruct them to log in as g Their name Prov/State (yourname)

- This is the KEY to increasing attendance. Otherwise, you will find a high level of no-shows (as high as 80% no shows if you don’t confirm!)

- If they don’t show up for the webcast, remember, you still have their name and email in your Enhancinglivesathome.com site so you can follow-up later. You can also send a friendly FB message like this:

Hi Susan, Sorry you missed the webcast. I know how busy life can be! Please let me know if you would like to reschedule. I am excited to give you all the info on how we work from home and how we get paid.

- If they have stopped responding before even being invited to a webcast, let it go for a few days, then reply with this:

Hi Susan, Just checking in to see if you’re still interested in working from home.

- If they aren’t available at that time, book the next available time.

- Be sure to mark all appointments with phone numbers in your calendar or notebook. It’s nice to have one location for easy reference. When they accept the webcast invitation you can move them to the “Invited to Webcast” list and then from their either to the “No Show” list or the “Attended Webcast” list and customize follow-up emails as appropriate. This makes staying organized SO much easier! You will never lose a lead and can even set up reminders in the contact area to alert you for follow-up calls and webcasts.

- You can and should invite several guests to one webcast (even 10 is fine!) – only 50% will show up!

- Copy and paste all of the above responses into a word document – edit to reflect your story and use as a template to copy and paste from

.The Webcast - Message and call your guests at 10 - 15 minutes before the webcast time to remind them.

- If they are a no show on the webcast, send an email like the one above to re-schedule:

- Assuming your guest has attended and has stayed on for the full webcast, you can post a comment in the webcast chat area or in their FB to suggest a phone call. This is how you can handle the phone call (note – if you are brand new it is recommended that your mentor be on a 3-way call to help you out):

Post-Webcast Phone Call

OK, so you have a few guests on the webcast and they have stayed on til the end . Now what? 1) Make sure you have their phone number (this is why was always like to have it before they attend a webcast, but if you don’t, PM them in the chat area or FB message or email them to ask for it) i. If you have been messaging them in FB, open up that chat window during the webcast 2) Confirm their availability by messaging – either immediately following the webcast or whenever they say they are available 3) When you call them say this! i. “Hey, it’s___________ with Melaleuca. Thanks for joining the webcast. So are you ready to get started?”

ii. This will result in 2 responses: 1) “Sure! I’m excited!” or 2) “I might be – I have a few questions though” iii. This is the best way get any concerns on the table

4) What if they aren’t quite ready to get started yet? Here are some other dialogues you can have: i. “What did you like most about the presentation?” ii. “Are you looking for something to supplement your income or something to replace a full-time income?” iii. “Would you like to know how we find our customers?” iv. Do you want to go for the ___________ this month? (monthly incentive) v. “Is there anything that would prevent you from getting started right away?”

5) Remember – you should be able to enroll at least 50% of all guests who attend and stay on for the full webcast. If you are not getting these results, ask you mentor to help you with 3-way calling post-webcast. Good luck!

1) How do you find your customers? a. Our team specializes in online marketing. That means you don’t have to approach family and friends if you don’t want to. You won’t feel the pressure of having to rely on them to build a successful business. b. a. Yes. If Melaleuca receives your cancellation by the 25th of the month, it will be processed for that month. If they receive it after the 25th it will be processed for the next month. Cancellations can be faxed to a toll-free fax line. b. Your back-up order (the order you pre-select at the time of enrollment) only kicks in if you forget to order by the last day of the month. Most customers don’t get back-up orders. It’s just in place as a safety-net. You are not billed for it unless it is sent out.

7) How quickly can I start earning an income? a. Melaleuca sends out bonus checks monthly and you can start earning an income right away! You will earn a “finder’s fee” for every customer you refer as well as ongoing residuals on whatever future orders they purchase – even 10+ years down the road! You will also receive commissions on referrals made by other members of your team. This is the fun part! Before you know it, your team is growing and are telling you how much they love the products are how excited they are to share it with others! b. There is no “all or nothing” deal with Melaleuca. If you refer one customer, you will be paid on that one customer. If you refer 10, you will be paid on those 10. If you refer 5 and 3 of them refer 2 each etc, you will paid on all of that too! No tricks, no hoops to jump through – just a common-sense business plan based on real people using real products that they feel is good value and want to share with others

8) How much support can I expect? a. You will part of one of the fastest growing online businesses teams in Melaleuca! What ‘Level of Participation” you are. 1, 2 or 3. #1 = Customer.May refer a new customer from time to time. #2 = Interested in building a Part-time Business #3 = Interested in building a Full-Time Business

If they interested in earning a commission or building abusiness. **Even if Level #1 we recommend saying yes. Sayingyes does NOT mean they have to build a business, but ratherthey can if they want to, and they can get also get rebatechecks. They will ask for their Social Security Number. Thecompany needs this in case they do get earn commissions.
