of experience in the successful trading and marketing ofplastics raw materials, now has its new Houston facility infull operation.

As Houston is at the center of the Gulf Coastpetrochemical industry, Bamberger is able to ship plasticsraw materials promptly and efficiently to all parts of theworld. In addition, since t~ey are located at 7171 ClintonDrive, within one mile offhe Port of Houston, they offerresin manufacturers unique facilities for handling their ex-port shipments.

The Houston Office of Bamberger Polymers is respon-sible for sales and customer service for the entire south-western part of the United States. They warehouse, transfer, and package plastics resins in bulk, bags or cartons. Theyoffer a complete and flexible transfer service, used forplastics resins exclusively, with complete assurance forcleanliness and quality control.

Here at the Houston facility, personnel operate high-speed packaging machinery, bag packers and stretch-wrapequipment; they use the latest automatic digital read-outscales for accurate net weight packaging of boxes and car-tons, and they can blend uniformly, prior to packaging, bymeans of specially equipped silos.

To round off their total ability for fast resin transfer,Bamberger owns and operates DK pumping units which aremobile and available on a custom basis to resin manufac-turers and plastics processors, as well as to railroads, trucking and shipping lines anf others for emergency tran-sfer of materials. These units enable efficient pumping fromrailcars into seabulk containers or from seabulk containersinto silos, cars or packages. Facilities are also available toresin suppliers on a custom packaging basis.

Bulk cars arrive on one side of the warehouse and con-tainers are loaded on the other. Since it is possible topackage several cars a day, bulk cars are emptied andreleased promptly. Often, they can meet sailing schedulesthe next day, if required. When necessary, they can packand store until the ship sails--still a fast turnaround forrailcars.

Bamberger Polymers has facilities at the Port of NewYork; at Port Newark, New Jersey; in Canada at Torontoand Montreal; and in Europe at Rotterdam, Holland.

Two New FormsTo help facilitate international

maritime traffic, the U.S. CustomsService has adopted two new forms foruse on arrival of ships in this country. The two forms follow standardizedmodel forms developed by the Inter-national Chamber of Shipping andhave been the subject of discussion at anumber of international conferences inrecent years. Customs modified themsomewhat to make them conform toexisting United States law.

Treasury Decision 77-255, publishedin the Federal Register, announcedrules governing the two new Customsforms (CF 1302, "CargoDeclaration," and CF 1302-A, "CargoDeclaration-Outward with Com-mercial Forms") and allows voluntaryusage of the forms by the public untilSeptember 1, 1978, whereafter usagebecomes mandatory.

The two new forms are replacingexisting Customs Form 7527-A, "U.S.Customs Inward Foreign Manifest,"and Customs form 1374, "OutwardForeign Manifest." Customs will con-tinue to accept Customs Forms 7527-Aand 1374 from the public until Sep-tember 1, 1978.
