F S Suffering with a purpose. We are getting close to the end of Lent. With all the recent events, it seems like the world, unintentionally, is also joining. As much as we can consider this time as a "me time" to grow closer to God, everything around us is shouting loud and clear, that we need to come out of our nutshell. I don't mean that to be a better Christian you will put yourself in risk, not at all. Please follow all the necessary procedures to stay safe. But, you know your friends and family. You know who can and cannot take news in a calm manner. That is where we come in. Is it possible to call them and check on them? Can we listen to their concerns, even knowing that we don't have answers for them? We know as much as they know about everything going on right now around the world; but, we do have something maybe some of them don't. That is faith. Can we pray with them and for them? I say we can. I challenge you to turn over any fear to God and after that, reach out to those people you know that need just to let it out and feel that they are not alone. I am also praying for all of you, we started this walk towards Jerusalem and we will get there together. "Stay with me. Do not be afraid; whoever seeks your life must seek my life also. You are under my protection." 1 Samuel 22,23 R Sufriendo con un propósito. Nos estamos acercando al final de la Cuaresma. Con todos los eventos recientes, pareciera que el mundo, sin intención, también están siendo parte de ella. Holy Virgin of Guadalupe,

Queen of the Angels and Mother of the Americas. We fly to you today as your beloved children. We ask you to intercede for us with your Son, as you did at the wedding in Cana. Pray for us, loving Mother, and gain for our nation and world, and for all our families and loved ones, the protection of your holy angels, that we may be spared the worst of this illness. For those already afflicted, we ask you to obtain the grace of healing and deliverance. Hear the cries of those who are vulnerable and fearful, wipe away their tears and help them to trust. In this time of trial and testing, teach all of us in the Church to love one another and to be patient and kind. Help us to bring the peace of Jesus to our land and to our hearts. We come to you with confidence, knowing that you truly are our compassionate mother, health of the sick and cause of our joy. Shelter us under the mantle of your protection, keep us in the embrace of your arms, help us always to know the love of your Son, Jesus.
