Public Recognition! A big thanks needs to go to our parish maintenance staff of 2 full time men who worked tirelessly, day and night to remove snow from under your feet on our3 city block parish. You will also notice that there is no nasty trash around revealed by melting snow. We also have 1 high school and 2 college students who are available to us to help when they can. Father Gormley and Fr. Benjamin were also out clearing the way.

PILGRIMAGE TO KNOCK SHRINE IN IRELAND

ITALY CHOIR TRIP

The St. Barnabas Festival Choir is made up of students in grades 4 through 12 from St. Barnabas Elementary, High School and Parish. The High School students from the parish and High School last year took part in the New York High School Choir Festival in Manhattan and did very well. From that venue the choirs have been invited to travel to Rome to sing for Pope Francis. Some highlights of the trip will be singing in the Papal Audience Hall and joining with the Sistine Chapel Choir to sing the Epiphany Mass on January 6, 2016. This is both an honor and a once in a life time opportunity. We currently are the only New York Choir participating. The cost for each student is 3,000 dollars. Our choir will be fundraising to help defer the cost. We currently have several young people who wish to go but are having financial difficulty. If you can help sponsor a child by donating part of all of the cost please contact Sharon Traditi at the High School or Religious Education Office or Shauna Mahoney at the Rectory. Any support you can give our youth is greatly appreciated.
