Dear Dreamkeepers,

We have been very busy this month

leading into Spring Break. I’d like to con-

gratulate Mrs. Shain on organizing another successful

Literacy Night and Nevada Reading Week! The staff had a blast dressing up with the students and sharing

the love of reading. Mrs. Mozur organized her 2nd An-

ticipated during this exciting event. Lastly, we had 10 first grade students participate in the Superinten-

stole the show!

For our 3rd-5th grade students, we collaborated

with Hayden ES and Legacy HS on Nevada Moves Day. However, we secretly planned a surprise pep ral-

performances from the Legacy HS Marching Band,

their cheerleaders, and more. We know our students

Positive Behavior

Intervention

Supports Corner (PBIS)

Our Dreamkeepers are doing great with PBIS. We had classes being rewarded with Diamonds for their behavior and support for the Battle of Books competition. This included all 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade classes. Our students continue to model the Ruby Duncan Core values of Responsible, Respectful and Safe each day. We are seeing declines in poor behavior at lunch and during recess especially, due to students using deescalating techniques and being kind.

Keep up the hard work!

Counselor’s Corner

Hello families, This month has been full of exciting events for our students. The 5th grade students zoned for Johnston Middle School had an opportunity to visit the campus and see what electives they have to offer. We also had a fabulous Career Day! I’d like to thank all of the volun-teers who made it possible to create a great learning ex-perience. We also focused on Habit #6: Synergy. This habit is all about how to work as a team along with giving and receiving ideas. We will finish out our year with Habit #7: Sharpen the Saw. This will help your child learn to take care of themselves, balance their time, and focus on becoming a better person each day. I hope you will talk with your child about what habits they have learned about and how they can use them in everyday life.

Thank you, Mrs. Mozur
