from temptation in the desert to transfiguration and glory Early

in our Lenten journey we are given a hint of the resurrection But

first we must recognize the truth of St Paul ndash that all of us are

called to bear our share of hardship for the Gospel Perhaps the

mountain we must climb with Christ is one of sharing our time or

ourselves with others Perhaps we are called to greater simplicity

of life and generous sharing of our material possessions Each of

us is called to die to self to live for Christ What death must we

die to share in Christrsquos glory

PRAYER LIST Please keep in prayer all of those in our community who are sick in

the hospital homebound or coping with health issues

ing from violence and advocacy on behalf of the powerless
