Reporting to Chief Operating Officer of this global construction services company. Based from London H/O. Scale of role: Three divisions - Construction, Fit Out & Retail and Engineering. Four global hubs: Europe, Middle East, Asia and United States. Operating in 24 countries across five sectors: Offices, Technology, Science & Health, Retail, Hospitality & Leisure, Education and Public Sector. Employing over 2,800 people. Direct reports: 3 (Heads of H&S for the 3 divisions listed above) Total of 88 personnel reporting into role globally.

• Responsibilities: Board reporting for the group, develop and facilitate delivery of Choose Safe, Choose Health programme, providing support to specific business areas as required (currently working closely with Engineering business to support H&S challenges for construction of Data Centres for global technology clients). • Engaged at short notice to take over from existing permanent resource who was moving on to take up another role outside of the company

• Developed project HSSE management system to comply with German legislation and EC&R standards. • Advised and supported the Project Manager and Package Managers for their areas of responsibility. • Supported and trained project team members on HSE management system requirements. • Conducted Contractor assessments in accordance with the EC&R pre-qualification and tendering process • Managed HSE resource • Supported Package Leads (Foundation, Logistics, Turbine, Electrical, Engineering, Consents & Certification,

• Co-ordinated HSE compliance at the pre-assembly site in Dunkerque, France to meet client requirements, for construction of the Thanet Offshore wind farm in the UK.

• Delivered toolbox talks and inductions to a multi-cultural workforce including French, German, Dutch, Polish and Danish nationals.

• Conducted regular compliance audits of all site activities and contractors. • Co-ordinated emergency exercises with local emergency services. • Provided HSE advice and support to the construction manager, site engineer, supervisors as well as mechanical/

Jul 2010 - Oct 2010 - ENERCON GmbH (Germany) SITE/HSE MANAGER

Co-ordinated HSE compliance at the Ben Aketil onshore wind farm (Isle of Skye, Scotland), on behalf of Enercon, to meet the requirements of the developer (Falck Renewables) and their principle contractor (Morrisons Construction). This was during final turbine installation, commissioning and testing phase.

• Conducted weekly compliance audit of site activities • Provided HSE advice and support to project management, site installation, commissioning and test team. • Delivered induction sessions and toolbox talks to various contractors • Progressed local amendments to risk assessments and method statements • Monitored competence of all contractors • Co-ordinated issue of permits to work • Monitored adherence to PPE requirements.

Reporting to the Project & Commissioning Manager • Managed the temporary works, to enable construction of an onshore substation and installation of import/export

cables for the Greater Gabbard Offshore Wind Farm (504MW/141 turbines). • Managed interfaces between the client (Scottish & Southern Energy), principle contractors (Fluor and National Grid,

Siemens, SEESA and British Energy. • My time was split 80/20 between the construction site (near Sizewell, Suffolk) and the Fluor head office in Surrey.
