    Funding gaps are seriously impacting frontline services for those in need

    in Haiti. Although the number of IDP camps is steadily decreasing, some

    of them are currently under threat of eviction. According to MSPP, since

    July, the number of cholera cases has declined

    Preparedness for hurricane Season - Response tothe Tropical Storm Isaac (24 - 25 August 2012)

    On average, 201 new cholera cases in August 2012 against 213

    in July. Despite this decline, the Sud, Nord-Est, Ouest departments

    and metropolitan Port-au-Prince remain fragile.

    The earthquakeof 12 January displaced

    more than 2.1 million people and destroyed/damagedabout 175,682 homes. More than 217,300 people were

    killed and about 300,600 injured.

    The first cholera case wasconfirmed on 19 October

    2010 in Centre department.

    On the night of 4 to 5 November

    Hurricane Tomas killed 21 people,

    destroyed/ damaged 6,340 houses

    and affected 6,610 families.
