Layouts can be saved using a user specific name for recall at a later time. Saved layouts are transaction specific. Trigger Perform this procedure when reformatting the data results are required for analysis. Purpose

Use this procedure to manipulate the results and reformat the data as required for analysis. Layouts can be savedusing a user specific name for recall at a later time. Saved layouts are transaction specific.

SORT ASCENDING icon = Selecting this icon will sort column from lowest to highest value

FIND icon = Selecting this icon initiates a search for text in the current document, screen or report

SHOW SELECTED FIELDS icon = Selecting this icon moves selected columns to Column selection toolbox

SHOW ALL FIELDS icon = Selecting this icon moves all columns to Column selection toolbox

COPY button = Selecting this button initiates the layout change request and displays results

CUT icon = Selecting this icon cuts the selected column and places it on the clipboard. Upon selection of thisicon the CLIPBOARD icon appears.

CLIPBOARD icon = Selecting this icon places the selected column(s) from the clipboard (CUT icon) to the selectedtoolbox

GET STANDARD LENGTH icon = Selecting this icon changes the length displayed to the standard length for theselected column in the Column selection toolbox

CLOSE icon = Selecting this icon cancels the layout change request

Depending on the transaction used the dialogue box shown below may look different. Inthe Column selection toolbox the columns listed are displayed; the columns shown in theHidden fields’ toolbox are available for display. A general description on commonfunctionality and icons is provided in the Helpful Hints section of this document.

5. As required, complete/review the following fields:

Column content R Columns available for display once moved to Columnselection toolbox. Select by highlighting the appropriatefield name (more than one field can be moved at a time).Select the SHOW SELECTED FIELDS icon to move fieldname to Column selection toolbox. Any column markedwith the LOCKED icon cannot be hidden or changed.

Pos. R  The order in which the columns are displayed from left toright. Column positions may be moved by changing thenumber in the field and selecting the REFRESH icon.Highlighted positions cannot be changed.

Field R/O/D Description

Leng... R  The number of characters that is displayed relative to thecolumn. The amount of characters can be changed.

Example:

Function icon R  The system, by design sometimes performs a datamanipulation function when information is displayed. Thesymbol on the column indicates the function performed. Acheckmark indicates on which column the function isperformed.

Example:

Line width R  The total number of characters that displayed. This totalis based on the length of each column.

Example:

List width R Line width of list. Line width of the current list in the listbuffer during list creation.

Field R/O/D Description

Layout R Name of the layout that impacts how planning informationis presented by the transaction using it. Note: User-specific layouts = must begin with a letter (A-Z). Theselayouts will be available to the creator only. Non-user-specific layouts = must begin with “/”.

Example: Training

User-specific R Initial variant flag. This value applies for list outputs forwhich user has explicitly specified. If initial variants canbe stored user-specifically, they take priority over user-independent ones. Note: Depending on user authority,

this indicator may default.

Example:

Description R Brief description of the item(s) to be purchased.Text toidentify and characterize an object or activity. OA ControlNumber (begin entering the control number on line 1 incolumn 1, most in the following format XXXX-XXXX.). Brief description of a variant. Layouts: A description for thelayout to be saved. Maximum length is 40 characters.

Example: Training SAP Standard Layout Variant

Sort criteria R Indicator that specifies a user has sorted the list based onat least one column. If deselected, the system will savethe layout without the sort user defined. Note: If this fieldis selected, the list has been sorted based on at least onecolumn. If this field is deselected, the system saves thelayout without the sorts defined.
