Dr. Ahmed EllaboudyAhmed has been with the Group since 2015 and currently serves as the Managing Director or BCI-Gulf. Between 1989-2015, Ahmed held senior managementpositions with Dow Chemical in sales, technology and Product Development last of which was BusinessDevelopment Manager for Dow Formulated Systems inNorth America.Ahmed has a PhD in Physical/Inorganic Chemistry from Michigan State University, and an MSC in PhysicalChemistry from Alexandria University.
Stefano BerriniStefano has been with the Group since 2016 and currently serves as Managing Director of BCI Europe.Between 2006-2015 Stefano held several senior
Management positions at Huntsman polyurethanes. Between 1982-2005, he held various management positions at ICI including: General Manager of the KSA operation. Stefano has a Bachelor Degree in Chemistry from the University of Milan and has attended Executive education courses at Boston University.
Mr. Marwan KawasMarwan serves as the Commercial Director ofBCI Holding and the Managing Director of BCITurkey AS. Before joining the Group in 2010, Marwanworked for 20 years at Exxon Chemical in many functionsincluding Sales, Marketing and Technology. During the last10 years, he was the Sales Director of the Middle East,Africa and Benelux at Exxon Chemical. Marwan holds aBachelor Degree in Chemical Engineering from HamburgUniversity and has attended several courses inmanagement and marketing at INSEAD & IMD.
Ahmad BaalbakiAhmad has been with the Group since 2010 andCurrently serves as Senior Manager of Group SupplyChain, Business Planning & Control. Between 2006-2009.Ahmad held several senior finance positions with BCI Holding S.A. Ahmad has an MBA and BBA from the Lebanese American University.
Wassim BawabWassim has been with the Group since 2010 and currently serves as the Group Finance Director as well.Between 2004-2009 Wassim was the Assistant Manager of assurance at PWC Beirut office. Wassim is a Chartered Public Accountant (CPA) from the New Hampshire Board of Accountancy. Wassim has an MBA and a BBA from American University of Beirut and has attended Executive education courses at the Amsterdam Institute of Finance.

The Group currently operates three production sitesand two distribution and technical service centers. Thesites are housed on 75,000 sqm of industrial propertyand occupy a built-up area of more than 30,000 sqm.BCI’s central development labs and technical servicecenter in the UAE occupy an area of 750 sqm and areequipped with state-of-the-art development, testingand pilot plant facilities.
The production facilities have a capacity to produce:50,000 MT of Polyester Polyols; 60,000 MT ofIsocyanate pre-polmers; and 75,000 MT of Polyolblends. The facilities also have a total bulk storecapacity of more than 3,500 cbm as well as a coldstore capacity to freeze 1,200 MT of material.
Note: All capacities are based on 2 shifts of 330working days per annum.

Today, BCI is the largest independent manufacturer ofAromatic and Aliphatic Polyester Polyols, IsocyanatePre-polymers, Polyurethane Systems, and PolyurethaneAuxiliary Chemicals in the Middle East and Africa regions.BCI has manufacturing facilities in the UAE, Egypt, andSyria (through a sister company) as well as distributionand technical service centers in Turkey and Jordan. BCI isalso a leading producer of Specialty Adhesives for theFlexible Packaging Industry and for the Leather andFootwear Industries.

The History of the Baalbaki Family in business dates backto the early 1900’s when three brothers: Rushdi, Kamel andOmar Baalbaki set up a textiles manufacturing and foodcommodities trading business in the Levant region withbranches in Damascus, Amman, and Beirut. Continuing intheir Father’s entrepreneurial footsteps, Omar’s sonsfocused on expanding the family’s industrial activities inthe 1950s and 1960s. In 1957, Dr. Ihsan and TahseenBaalbaki established ‘Barada Metalic Industries’, one ofthe first factories in the Middle East for the production ofdomestic refrigerators, gas ovens and steal furniture under
license from Mauser G.M.B.H. and Linde A.G. In 1960, OmarBaalbaki's son, Hassan Baalbaki, took the family’s textilesbusiness public in one of the region’s first IPO’s.
After nationalization in Syria in 1964, Dr. Ihsan Baalbakishifted the Group’s headquarters to Beirut, Lebanon anddeveloped the Group into a leading regional institutionwith activities and investments in industry, trade, financeand real estate. The Group was recognized by ForbesMagazine in 2012 as one of the top 50 companiesin the Middle East making an impact.

Mr. Marwan KawasMarwan serves as the Commercial Director ofBCI Holding and the Managing Director of BCITurkey AS. Before joining the Group in 2010, Marwanworked for 20 years at Exxon Chemical in many functionsincluding Sales, Marketing and Technology. During the last10 years, he was the Sales Director of the Middle East,Africa and Benelux at Exxon Chemical. Marwan holds aBachelor Degree in Chemical Engineering from HamburgUniversity and has attended several courses inmanagement and marketing at INSEAD & IMD.
Ahmad BaalbakiAhmad has been with the Group since 2010 andCurrently serves as Senior Manager of Group SupplyChain, Business Planning & Control. Between 2006-2009.Ahmad held several senior finance positions with BCI Holding S.A. Ahmad has an MBA and BBA from the Lebanese American University.
Wassim BawabWassim has been with the Group since 2010 and currently serves as the Group Finance Director as well.Between 2004-2009 Wassim was the Assistant Manager of assurance at PWC Beirut office. Wassim is a Chartered Public Accountant (CPA) from the New Hampshire Board of Accountancy. Wassim has an MBA and a BBA from American University of Beirut and has attended Executive education courses at the Amsterdam Institute of Finance.
