Create Measure using Measure builder

To Design a management cockpit first you need to create a Measure. To create a measure in SAP menu Information system->Strategic Enterprise Management->Performance Measurement->Design. See the below screen.

Once you click on Design the following screen will appear.

Once you click on Measure in above screen it will take you to the Measure catalog screen, you need to create Measure catalog before creating Measure.

Under the Measure Catalog you can create Measure.

In Datasource tab you need to provide Data source that will be your BW query, RFC Destination that will be you BW server and along with these you have to select Info cube and a Key figure from that particular info cube. Your Key figure will be considered as a Measure. See the below screen for the same

In the Attribute tab you have to set the Attribute property.

Save a Measure which you have created. Now you can use this Measure in your Management cockpit.

Create Management Cockpit

To create a management cockpit first create node

After creating a node click on New Cockpit

While creating cockpit you need to define no. of Walls which will be maximum 9 and other information like Fiscal Year Variant.

Click on continue and it will take you to the Variable Assignment screen, If you are not using any variable click on continue and then click on END.

Create Wall

Your Cockpit is created, now you need to assign property to your Wall which you have defined in your cockpit. On the initial screen of Wall you need to provide a No. of Logical Views which can be maximum 6.

Once you continue with Initial screen the next screen is Reports and Links. On this screen you have to add your BW query as our source is BW query. See the same in below screen.

Create Logical View

Your wall is created in cockpit. After this you have to create Logical view in same way like Wall.

Create Frame

After a creation of Logical View, create Frame for the same. On the initial screen of Frame you need to provide the Frame type.

Once you continue to next screen, you can select Graphic type from the available types on right had side.

In the next screen you need to select your Measure as your Key figure by drag and drop. And on the same screen you need to CHECK on your Measure in Data source tab. See the below screen for the same.

On the next screen Data source, Measure you have to select your Infocube, your BW query and below that you have to select your Measure to selected key figure.

The next screen is Selection Criteria where you have to select variable, in this cockpit I have taken variable CURRENT TOTAL YEAR

In the next Graphic Design screen you have to add your Measure as Data series and characteristics as Section Axis.

In the screen Reports and links you have to add a name of your BW query the same way we did in logical view and in wall.

In the Data preview screen you can have a look at your BW data in cockpit.

Now your development is finished for the cockpit.

Release cockpit for presentation

By click on activate you can release cockpit for presentation.

Management Cockpit Live

From the SAP menu select Execute: Management Cockpit.

On the next screen you will find your cockpit, double click on the cockpit it will ask you to select the period which we have taken as selection variable in Frame.

On the next screen you can see the graph for your Measure(Billing value).

Same way like Billing value other Measures are also like incoming order value, No. of documents, Billed Qty, Incoming order Qty. You can see all the Measure analysis in a single window by clicking on SALES OVERVIEW. Please see below screen
