Anyway, this guide contains a full detailed walkthrough that will help you finish the game. Also, since I'm a completionist myself, I designedthis guide to help you get all the items in the game including all therecipes and ingredients needed for your synthesis especially for yourGrow Book and equipments. Each week you spend is represented in a calendar. All of the weeks in a calendar make up a term. There are 12 terms in the game that represents your entire career at the Academy. There are three types of weeks: Events, Classes, and Free Time

-----EVENT-----These are the scenes that reveal more about the story. Each term startsand ends with an event. Sometimes, events are just spoken dialogues thatthe players need to see in order to progress in the game, but other times, events require you to explore an area and complete certain objectives in order to progress in the game

-------CLASSES-------Classes are compose of assignments that you have to complete in order toprogress in the story. Each assignment is different. You either have to explore a dungeon, synthesize something, or fight a boss. Each assignment has their own level of difficulty, the very early classes areeasy to accomplish, but later on, the assignments will become tougher. After you completed an assignment, you will be given a grade. Each gradeyou get will earn you units, which you need in order to pass the term.

---------FREE TIME---------If you accumulated enough units, you will get a free time. In a free time, you can do whatever you want. You can either do side quests, explore the dungeon you already visite, gather items for your synthesis,or sleep in your dormitory. However, if you didn't accumulate enough units, you will get a detention.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-LEVELING UP SYSTEM ST03=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-Instead of a traditional level-up system, Mana Khemia offers a differentway to increase your stats. In order to increase your stats, you need touse the Grow Book. Grow Book is a very important tool in the game. It tracks the personal growth of all your characters, and it is the key tomake your characters stronger.

Grow Book is like a grid where a series of slots are connected. In orderto unlock 1 grid, you need to get that item through synthesis. When youopen up a slot, a series of skills will be unlocked. Use the AP you gained from defeating enemies to purchase these skills.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-SYNTHESIS ST04=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-There are two kinds of synthesis in the game: The Co-op synthesis andAlthanor Synthesis. Co-op synthesis can be done inside your Workshop.In Co-op Synthesis, you can synthesize items and materials that you needfor battles, grow books and also equipments. The Althanor Synthesis can bedone in the Althanor Room, located in the Workshop Hallway (adjacent toyour Workshop). In Althanor Synthesis, you can synthesize weapons, equipments and accessories that you can equip onto your characters to boost their stats. In order for you to actually synthesize anything, youneed ingredients that you can find anywhere in the world map or buy fromthe shops.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-DUNGEONS ST05=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-There are many dungeons around the Academy and you will going to exploremost of them as you progress in the story. Inside the dungeons, you cangather ingredients you need for your synthesis.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-TIME ST06=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-Time passes when you explore a dungeon. It passes in the form of Day >Afternoon > Night > Morning. There are some ingredients that you can gather only during Morning and Nightime.

COMBAT ST07=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-The combat in Mana Khemia is similar to Atelier Iris 3 where you can completely avoid fighting the enemies by either dodging them or destroythem with a sword-slash.

-----ENEMY -----There are two types of enemies lurking inside a dungeon: Big and small. The small ones are the easiest to defeat while the big ones are the enemies that you need to avoid since they are more aggresive and stronger.

------BATTLE------Battles in Mana Khemia are straightforward. The enemies are position inthe left while your party is on the right. Only three of your characterscan fight in a battle while the other three act as your support. Battlesare conducted in turns until one side wins.

------------------CARD SYSTEM (ACCB)------------------One of the first thing that you need to look when the battle starts is the bar located in the top-left corner. The bar is consist of 16 cards which contain a face of a character and monster, as well as time cards.Characters or enemies with the higher speed will start with their cardson the right side. Each time an enemy or a character takes an action, his or her card will move further down the line, and the cards will cycle through to the next card.

There are various shops located inside the Academy. Not only that they sell you ingredients, but also provide you with recipes you need for synthesis. Each shop will upgrade their stock every time a new term starts, so make sure that you check them often.

Okay you already have the Clearwater, now we need <Blue Petal> and <Spinacherb>. After the scene, [LIVING FOREST] has been added to your list of locations. Choose Off Campus, then Living Forest.

The items you receive from parcels, grasses, barrels, boxes are random,but these items will reappear again when you reenter the area. Items that can be found inside the treasure chests are permanent, and theywill not reappear again after you obtained them.

The enemies lurking around the area will become more aggressive and stronger at night, so my advice is not to fight them during that time. You can either exit the area and reenter to reset the time, or you canjust wait for the night to pass. There are two types of enemies lurkingin each area: A big one and a small one. When you enter the forest, you will automatically obtain the item <Blue Petal> and your first battle.

Basically, this battle is a tutorial. All you need to do is to fight them with regular attacks until you defeat them.************************************************************************

This skill is very useful since its effect lasted for three turns. Cast it only once and it will heal you three times before it dissappears. This skill can only be used by Jess and you will use it a lot of times especially during Boss Battles.

INFO: HEART CRACKER

This skill is very interesting since using this will gain you heartswhich will let you summon enemies during battles. This skill can only beused by Nikki so use it wisely. In order to summon them, use Nikki's Summon Friend skill.*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*

2 items down and 1 more to go. The item <Spinacherb> can be found in thegrasses. Since the items you get from grasses are random, there is a possibility that you can get the item in the this area, or the next one,so make sure that you cut every grass you see.

From the entrance, follow the path to the next screen. In this area, follow the path until you reach a fork (the one with an arrow shaped sign). Go E to find a chest contiaing <200 Cole>. Now go back to the fork and jump on the ledges to reach the top, then go to the next screen. In this area, follow the path until you reach another fork, goW to find a chest containing <150 Cole>. Take the other path S to reachanother fork. In this fork, take the N path to find a chest containing<100 Cole>, then take the other path to the next screen. In this area, grab the chest containing <Wooden Club> for Nikki, so equip it. That's it for this area (we will going back here later), so use the wings of icarus to teleport back to the Academy. However, before you do that makesure that you have the Spinacherb with you.

Head for the Faculty Room to get a scene. After the scene, you will get a <Healing Medicine> recipe, and a <Heal Jar>.

TIP: GETTING A IS BETTER THAN GETTING B, C, OR F!

After you turned in your assignment, you will be graded according to your performance. Getting A will get you 4 units, B will get you 3 units, C will get you 2 Units, and F will get you nothing. At the end ofyour current term, all your units will be counted. If you meet the required units, then you will get a Free Time. If you didn't meet the required units, then you will get a Detention. Free Time and Detentionwill be explained more later in the guide. After the scene, go to Workshop Hallway and to the Athanor Room to meetMoritz. After the scene, you will get <Old Collar>, <Woodchip>, <Legien Steel>, <Dirt>, and a <Ragged Collar>.

Instead of a traditional level-up system, Mana Khemia offers a differentway to increase your stats. In order to increase your stats, you need touse your Grow Book. Grow Book is like a grid where a series of slots areconnected. In order to unlock 1 grid you need to get that item through synthesis. Even though you have that item in your inventory, the GrowBook will not accept it if you didn't synthesize it. When you open up aslot, a series of skills will be unlocked. Use the AP you gained from defeating enemies to learn these skills. These skills will come in handy during boss fights.

HINT: ALWAYS SYNTHESIZE EVERYTHING!

Just like what I said before, you don't need the item in your inventoryin order for the Grow Book to accept it. As long as you synthesize thatitem, the Grow Book will accept it. Since this guide tends you to getevery item on the game! You don't need to search every nook and cranny for a specific item you need for your Grow Book, I will provide it for you.

HINT: BUYING RECIPES!

Since you already know how to synthesize, you can now buy the recipesin the shops. Each shop will upgrade their stocks at the beginning ofeach chapter so make sure to check them often.*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+

Exit the hallway and [WIND'S CORRIDOR] has been added to your list of locations. Before you go there, I suggest that you buy some Heal Jars and Nectars from the Infirmary since the next dungeon is a little bit harder. Once you're ready, choose Off Campus, then Wind's Corridor.

You can evade an enemy through Jumping by pressing the Circle Button.This will come in handy when the enemies are trying to charge at youespecially the big ones.

Since random items reappear once you exit the place, this is anotherway to make money. Although it is slow, you can still get some coleout of it.

TIP: CHEAT THE NIGHT!

Since enemies are stronger and more aggressive during the night, thenhere's another tip. You can cheat the night by going to an area wherethere is no enemy and stand there. Leave the game and do something fora while, then come back when it is daytime. However, there are times when this trick is useless since there are some assignments or jobs thatyou need to do during the Night. Don't worry though since there is another way to do it, and I'll tell you when you really need it.*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+

Go all the way to the N, then head E at the fork to get some items. Go all the way to the W to find a chest containing <Hammery Hammer>. Now, head N and then E to get a scene. After the scene, you will get the <Map>.

The map is a very useful tool in this game. To access your map, press the START button. Your map consists of a Gather Point (which you will get info later) and Target Location. Every time you enter a new area, the map will automatically mark it for you so you don't have to search every nook and cranny of that area in order to put it in your map.

In the map, you can see the target location. Target Location tells youyour destination, so make sure to check your map when you don't know where to go.*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+

Go S (E path is being blocked for now) and descend the stairs to the next screen. In this area, follow the path until you reach a fork, goS descending the stairs to find a chest containing <Nectar>. Return tothe fork and take the other path. Follow it to find another chest containing <Lovely Bag>, then continue heading E to the next screen. In this area, you will find the boss, but I suggest that you return to the Academy and do some synthesizing.

Since you have the Hammery Hammer and Lovely Bag recipes, you can now synthesize new weapons for Nikki and Jess. You can get the ingredientsfrom the shops and the places you've been through like the Living Forestand Wind's Corridor.

Remember that you can synthesize items and materials in the Workshop. For equipments, you can synthesize in the Althanor Room.

Ether Effects are very useful, they can raise the critical rate of anitem, or even give your normal attacks an instant kill. Basically, they are the key behind making your characters stronger. The higher the EtherLevel of an item is, the more refine it becomes. You will get differentresults everytime you either raise or lower the E-Level of an item. If you want to know all the E-Effects of all the items, please referto the "Usable Items" and "Material Items" section of this guide.

You can use these effects when forging your equipments to boost their stats. To change the E-Level of an item, you can either use your Character's Support Cards or the Alchemy Circle's Timing.

INFO: SUPPORT CARDS

In order to access these cards, you need to press Square during synthesis. Some of these cards are very useful especially Jess' Plus10 Ability and Nikki's E-Level reset to 0 Ability, but these abilitiesappears randomly, so if you want these abilities to appear, you have to keep using them during Synthesis. More cards will become available as you progress in the story.

INFO: ALCHEMY CIRCLE TIMING (ELEMENTAL WHEEL)

During synthesis, you can control the E-Level by selecting the proper

element on the Alchemy Circle Timing (Elemental Wheel). The ElementalWheel spins clockwise in this order: Water > Fire > Neutral > Wind >Earth. The Water Icon is in Blue color, Fire Icon is in Red, Neutral Icon is in Gray, Wind Icon is in Green, and Earth Icon is in Yellow. If you select an Element that matches the element of the ingredient, theE-Level will increase by 10 points.

If you pick the anti-element, the E-Level will decrease by 10 points. Water's anti-element is Fire, Fire's anti-element is Wind, Wind's anti-element is Earth, and Earth's anti-element is Water. If there is no anti-element, then there is no reaction. On the other hand, the Neutral Icon causes the E-Level to either increase or decrease by a random amount, or no reaction at all.

Okay, you will fight four consecutive battles. First battle will be 3

Now for the third battle, I stillsuggest not to waste any skill at them eventhough they're a little hard.Just focus your attack on one puni at a time. Use your Heal Jars if youare low on health. For the last fight, you will fight 3 red punis and aplatinum puni. This one is hard especially if you aren't prepared. The first thing you need to do is cast Jess' Healing Echo, then use Nikki's Flame Gaze and watch your Burst Gauge fills up quickly. Now keep using Flame Gaze until you activate Burst Mode.

All you have to do is when the orange cursor is larger than the blue cursor (I mean very large that you can barely see the blue cursor), then don't press anything. Chances are that is a monster.

After two hours have passed, you will get a scene. Teleport back tothe Academy and head for the Student Affairs to earn your stamp.

Jobs are mini-quests that appear on the bulletin board in the Student Affairs. You need to talk to Arsha first in order to access them. The list of Job available changes every term, so if you miss a job or don'tcomplete it, then that job won't become available on the next term. It is important not to miss any job since job can give you AP, Cole, andsome rare recipes. For more information about Jobs, please refer to theSide Quest section of this guide.

The other thing that you can do during free time is to spend yourtime with the people in your Workshop. In order to do a CharacterQuest, simply go to the Workshop and speak with whomever you like. Youcan only do one character quest per free time, and doing character questwill prevent you from getting the bad ending of the game. He has a skill called "Calamity Attack" that can stun your characters.Other than that he's not really hard. Since the boss is weak againstany elemental attacks, you can either throw a flame or lightning rod at him to fill up your Burst Gauge quickly. In order to get an A, you need to perform a Burst in less than 30 Minutes. You don't have to kill it inorder to get an A. There are 2 ways to achieve this.

You can either kill the boss while in Burst Mode in less than 25 minutes(25 minutes means 25 cards in battle), or you can perform 2 Burst Modes in less than 30 minutes (30 minutes means 30 cards in battle). It doesn't matter which one you choose since both of them will definitely get you an A.************************************************************************

After the battle, look at your memo to see your battle time. Now, returnto the Academy and head for the Student Affairs for your well-earned stamp.

Okay this is where you need to get serious since both bosses can packa punch. I suggest that you start focusing your attacks on the Azureflame Mana first since its HP is lesser than Renee. Use Jade Shift on Vayne to get an extra turn, then use Nikki's Decoy Shield and cast iton Vayne, Nikki, and Pamela to minimize the damage. And have Pamela to take up the healing duty. Since both bosses don't have anyelemental weakness, you need to rely on your multi-hit chain attacks toincrease your Burst Gauge. Once your Burst Gauge is activated, unleashyour powerful skills to finish them off.

In the battles with Renee or any other battle with a "summoning" skill. In order to make the battle a lot faster, it's a good idea to use skillslike "Happy Twins", Silence, or Thundering Hammer (unless it's the firstof said battles, where Jess is unavailable). There's a chance it could silence her, stopping her from summoning her Azureflame mana. Of course,this is only a good idea if you want to bypass the annoyance of a secondfoe and skip the Azureflame on your encyclopedia. I found it makes the battle much easier to deal with instead of having a person dedicated tohealing because you are continuously pounded on by two people. Also, I'mnot sure, as I havn't confirmed it, but, I also believe it stops Renee'sultimate attack from being initiated. In the battle she used only items and "Girl Attack." This battle is a lot harder than the previous one. Roxis uses Megaheal,a New Ice Volley move and Purify Skill, which is more powerful. Tony,on the other hand, has a lot more HP and focuses more on offense, but hedoesn't have any special move.

Now for strategy, I suggest that you focus your attacks first on Roxis, since he has less HP and more powerful than Tony. Vayne's Jade Shift andFlay's Raiden Charge + Starshot are very useful in this battle so use them wisely. ************************************************************************

One of the hardest and longest battle yet. Tony's and Renee's HPs have

been boosted and each one of them has new skill that can damage yourcharacters' HPs tremendously. Since both of them don't have any particular weakness, you need to rely on your multi-hit chain attacksfor damage.

Also, Renee summons her Azureflame Mana, which also has new moves that can deal huge damage to your characters' HPs. This is the reason why Isuggested that you to bring a lot of healing items and fight those enemies from trapped chests for X-Heals.

Anyway, Jess will be the main healer for this battle, so her main jobonly is to cast Healing Echo. Use Nikki's Decoy Shield to minimize damage. Use Flay's Raiden Charge + Starshot, Roxis' Lunar Drive, and Vayne's Jade Shift and Variable Strike for more damage. Don't forget to use Roxis' Purifying skill to eliminate any time card in the field. Focus your attacks first on Renee since she has the least HP and the most dangerous of the three. Try to keep your attacks to minimum first until you reach Burst Mode. And don't hesitate to use your healing itemssince Healing Echo might not be enough to prevent you from dying. After Renee is defeated, the other two can be fought easily.

In the battles with Renee or any other battle with a "summoning" skill. In order to make the battle a lot faster, it's a good idea to use skillslike "Happy Twins", Silence, or Thundering Hammer (unless it's the firstof said battles, where Jess is unavailable). There's a chance it could silence her, stopping her from summoning her Azureflame mana. Of course,this is only a good idea if you want to bypass the annoyance of a secondfoe and skip the Azureflame on your encyclopedia. I found it makes the battle much easier to deal with instead of having a person dedicated tohealing because you are continuously pounded on by two people. Also, I'mnot sure, as I havn't confirmed it, but, I also believe it stops Renee'sultimate attack from being initiated. In the battle she used only items and "Girl Attack." Compare to Chimera, this battle is a little bit easier. Zweis Monde hastwo modes, depending on which of the two sprites is sitting on the topof the cross-shaped blade. The white sprite resists magic attacks, whilethe black sprite resists physical attacks, so you need fighters that canattack and cast magic at the same time. First, cast Pamela's Seeker toremove their resistance. Since they're now vulnerable to any attacks, you can attack them now without any restriction. Use Flay's Raiden Charge + Screwdriver + Burst Mode, and Vayne's Jade Shift + Chaos Devotion + Variable Strike + Burst Mode to deal a lot of damage. Use Roxis' Purfying Skill to eliminate any Time Card that the boss sent up in the field.

Other helpful tip is to have your characters' D - Support skill learnedto make this battle a lot easier. Head for the Student Affairs for your next assignment. Just like fromthe previous term, you can choose your assignment from 4 different courses: Symbology II, Combat VI Speed, Synthesis IX Application, and Combat VII Chain. As for the easiest assignments, I'd say Symbology II,and Synthesis IX Application.

This one is very easy since all you have to do is go to the Mana Ruins -Bottom Center and find the 3 emblems. You've been here already, so this place should be familiar to you. Each emblem is mark with a target location, but you need to find the first one before the other one shows up. After you found the three emblems, head back to the Classroom andspeak with the vice principal. In the first prompt, choose "Keeps the campus afloat", then in the second prompt, choose "Amplifies Mana powersacross the entire campus", and in the third prompt, choose "a Mana". Ifyou found all 3 emblems within 10 Hours and answered all 3 questions correcly, you will get an A.

In order to get an A, you need to make an Elixir with an E-Level of 100.You already have the recipe from defeating Isolde.

In order to get an A, you need to defeat the boss before he escapes, soyou need to bring your fastest characters like Anna and Nikki. Bring some flames (or tera flames) with you since the boss is weak against fire, and also put Vayne in the support row so that he can use his Variable Strike immediately to deal more damage.

************************************************************************BOSS: BERSERK KOALARIA JAGGED TIGER JAGGED BEAR

Ignore the Jagged Tiger and the Jagged Bear and focus your attacks onthe Berserk Koalaria. First, throw some flames (or teraflames) at himto immediately go to Burst Mode, then use your Variable Strike todeal more damage. If you get lucky, your Finishing Burst Gauge should befull right now. If that happens, then use Finishing Skills to finishhim off. If might take you at least 2 Burst Modes to drain his HP to 0.

Another way to win this is to use Flay's Raiden Charge + Screwdriver +Burst Mode, Vayne's Jade Shift + Chaos Devotion + Burst Mode, Roxis' Chrona Drive + Burst Mode, and Anna's Dancing Blade Chaos + Burst Mode to deal a lot of damage.************************************************************************

This is fairly difficult if you haven't improved your Grow Book yet. Inorder to get an A, you need to execute more than 20 Hits on the bossbefore it dies. The best way to do this is to have Jess' and Muppy'sA - Support, and Anna's Dancing Blade Chaos learned. Before you start the battle, put Jess and Muppy in the support row sothat they can use their A - Support, and Vayne for his Variable Strike. Furthermore, make sure to put some Tangerine Hats on since theboss can inflict poison on everyone.

Attack him until you reach Burst Mode. Once you're in Burst Mode, do thefollowing sequence in order: Anna's Dancing Blade Chaos, follow by Jess'A - Support, then Muppy's A - Support, and finally Vayne's Variable Strike. Make sure that you do it all in 1 sweep without any interruptionfrom the boss. If you did it correctly, then you will get a total of 34Hits. ************************************************************************

After the battle, look at your memo. If it says 34 Hits, then you'lldefinitely get an A. Head for your Classroom and speak with Zeppel toearn your stamp.

You can do Job no. 101, 100, 099, 098, 081, 071 and 054 right now. Youwill unlock Job no. 053 and 052 after finishing all the "Help Me" Jobs.
