We are going to speak about two countries found in the Mediterranean Sea where English is spoken

How are they similar?

CYPRUS and Malta

Both joined the EU in 2004

Currency: Euro

Tourism fuels the economy

Mediterranean climate

Government: Republic

How are they different?

CYPRUS

Legend claims this as Afroditie's birth place

Population growth rate is higher than Malta's

Less need than Malta to import goods, an idependently rich country

MALTA

Highest population density in Europe

Divorce and abortions are illegal

Very few mountains

Doesn't have its own energy source

Main transport: bus

Population: 411,950

The highest peak is Mount Olympus (6,406 ft 1,953 m). Its capital is Nicosia.

Cyprus is located off the southern coast of Turkey and to the west of Syria.

This is the flag of Cyprus. It's the only flag in the world that has the figure of the country on it.

The most typical food is seen below.

Both of these dishes are typical plates you can find there. It is called Meze.
