MODULE SYNOPSIS BUSINESS ANALYTICS This module introduces the data analytics techniques and tools to aid managerial decision
making. Business use case analysis will be employed to expose students to the real world of
decision making at strategic level by honing their analytical skills.
MARKETING MANAGEMENT Given the constant and rapid change in the competitive environment, firms now are increasingly
recognizing the importance of developing intelligence and strategic insights about markets and
consumers. This module focuses on crafting and implementing marketing management strategies
and policies, a task undertaken in most companies at the strategic business level unit level.
HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT People or human capital management being the most challenging and strategic element in an
organisation, this module will be dealt with at a strategic level. Discussions will revolve around the
best practices of talent management including but not limited to staffing, human resource
development, compensation, health and safety, employee and labor relations.
ORGANISATIONAL BEHAVIOUR Essential for students to understand the causes and consequences of various behaviours in an
organizational context. The module is designed to sensitize the students to various behavioural
traits of people and the underlying aspects of such behaviour, so as to be in a position to drive
behaviours that benefit the organisation strategically.
INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS Crucial to globalization, this module delves into strategic practices and management of
international business and trade. Cross-cultural management dimensions are also examined to
expose the students to a variety of cross-cultural differences and their implications that affect
global business decisions.
STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT This module explores a comprehensive model of strategic management by examining strategy
formulation, strategy implementation, and strategy evaluation in the management of organizations
at strategic level.
E-COMMERCEThis module prepares students to take an active leadership role in the strategic planning, acquisition
and management of electronic commerce systems. It concentrates upon the Business-to-Consumer
(B2C), and Business-to-Business (B2B), Consumer to Consumer (C2C) areas of e-commerce,
providing an insight into the new and wide range of e-commerce applications that have ever evolved.
MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEMS The main aim of this module is to provide knowledge and understanding of general information and
communication technologies. The course framework includes computer based information system
concepts, and analyses the technological environment of the modern industry. Students will be
exposed to the concepts of hardware, software, database, networks, protocols (procedures) and
people to manage computer based information systems strategically in contemporary organisations.
FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT This module will expose students to the financial management theories and its application in
managerial financial decisions. Its structure will emphasize on the scope of corporate finance which
include financial markets, financial statement analysis, financial planning and forecasting, profile of
risk and return, time value of money, valuation of shares and bonds, capital budgeting and risk
management.
MANAGERIAL ECONOMICS The module provides an understanding of the microeconomics and macroeconomics environment,
which affect business decision making by managers. For the micro section, it discusses a number of
basic models of the firm and examines some of the criticisms of the models and offers alternatives in
its place. In the macro section, attention is given to the determination of national income, inflation,
unemployment, along with the theories and practices of government fiscal and monetary policies that
affect a firm’s decision-making.
RESEARCH METHODOLOGY This module examines how research is used to support management decision making and develops
an understanding of a variety of research methodologies as well as the skills in applying them. Both
qualitative and quantitative research techniques are explored. A key output of the course is the ability
to produce a professional research proposal, which could be used for Project Paper 1 and Project
Paper 2 modules.
MANAGERIAL ACCOUNTING This module links strategic accounting information to various activities such as planning and
evaluating units’ operations and provides an understanding of the nature of costs and profits as
important components in management accounting.ACCESS TO ONLINE RESOUORCESStudents will have access to a huge database of leading online resources such as the prestigious Harvard Business Review (HBR), Sloan Management Review (SMR), and many more.
Students will also be provided with an MBA lounge, a study center and specially designed MBA classrooms that are meant to facilitate management training.

ANALYTICS-DRIVEN MBA PROGRAM We will equip our students with data mining tools and the ability to analyze data in a
meaningful and useful way to discover new patterns of information that will facilitate
decision-making in their jobs. Modules such as Marketing Management, Human Resource
Management and Financial Management will be infused with analytics to enable the
students to employ scientific decision-making in their chosen domains.
SPECIAL INTERNATIONAL FIELD TRIP This component is an integral part of the MBA where students are exposed to an
international, cross-cultural environment. Students will visit a top university overseas and
participate in lectures by renowned professors, besides analysing real-world international
case studies. Industrial visits to MNCs are included in the tour. Furthermore, this trip, which
is up to 10 days, is sponsored by the university. Flight tickets, visa fees, accommodation
and meals will be fully sponsored by Manipal International University, as part of our
commitment to internationalize our MBA students.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIABOTH FRESH GRADUATES AND PROFESSIONALS
WITH WORK EXPERIENCE ARE ELIGIBLE TO JOIN THE MBA PROGRAM
• A bachelor's degree with minimum CGPA of 2.75 or equivalent, as accepted by the HEP Senate; or
• A bachelor's degree or equivalent with minimum CGPA of 2.50 and not meeting CGPA of 2.75, can be
accepted subject to rigorous internal assessment; or
• A bachelor's degree or equivalent not meeting CGPA of 2.50, can be accepted subject to a minimum of
5 years working experience in relevant field.
