amazing projects and inspiration.Invent To Learn: Making, Tinkering, and Engineering inthe Classroom: This is the must-read of MakerEducation.  This book covers everything from the historyand pedagogy of making in the classroom to practicalsteps you can take to get started.  It also has a greatsection on advocacy and research that is an excellentresource for grant writing.  My review here.Design, Make, Play: Growing the Next Generation ofSTEM Innovators: This great book looks at how designand creativity is essential for the success of our students. Each chapter is by a different expert in a different fieldand features a variety of educational settings, includingschools, museums and even playground.  My reviewhere.Makerspace Playbook (free pdf!!): From the people atMake, this is a great book to help you get startedcreating a Makerspace.Make Space: How to Set the Stage for CreativeCollaboration:  This book is written more as a resourcefor how design of physical spaces can make anenvironment for collaboration.  It focuses more oncollege and office environments, but there are manyapplications to schools, especially when it comes tocreating an environment designed for making andexperimentation.  My review here. The Third Teacher : This book is focused on how thephysical learning environment acts as a third teacher forstudents.  Its focus is quite broad, but it frequentlydiscusses the importance of having flexible spaces, giving kids hands-on learning opportunities, creatingspace for flow and allows students room for creativity. My review here. The Art of Tinkering
