Pelicans 2012 AccomplishmentsStadium Journey Magazine Ranked TicketReturn.com Field as the 19th beststadium experiences of 2012 when compared to all stadiums and arenas across all sports including all Universities and Professional Sports venues in United States.The rankings are determined by their 80 plus national contributors and tiebreakers are settled by a stadiums Crowd Score (the average of ratings submitted by members) We were ranked third when compared to all minor league baseball members). We were ranked third when compared to all minor league baseball facilities in the country.

Marked the sixth season in a row where the Pelicans finished with an average of over 3,200 fans in nightly attendance and in the top five of all thirty High A affiliated clubs in average attendance. (Averaged 3,273 Fans)

The Pelicans had eleven sold-out games with five of those games at maximum capacity of 6,600 setting a new season record for games with a full capacity crowd.

We set a new mark for the Pelicans when we hosted ninety-six events and games, in addition to our seventy home Pelican games.

We welcomed our Three millionth fan to TicketReturn.Com. Field at Pelicans Ballpark.

Our award winning grounds crew won the award for top field in the Carolina League. It was the sixth top field award for our crew over the previous seven seasons.

Pelicans 2012 AccomplishmentsWe were awarded the South Carolina Association For Career and Technical Education Award.

For the first time ever we hosted the Minor League Baseball Promotional Seminar for all 160 MiLB teams in Myrtle Beach. This meeting brought together over 500 of MiLB’s top executives to share and learn new ideas for enhancing the fan experience in our ballparks across the countryacross the country.

We added “The Ring of Fire Grille” down our first base line for our first ever cook to order fresh of the grill concession stand. It became an instant hit with our fans.

The Pelicans qualified for Carolina League playoffs for the second year in a row.

We had three of our 2011 players and one of our 2012 players make their way onto Major League team rosters. (Robbie Ross, Joe Wieland, Mik Olt & Wil F t)Mike Olt, & Wilmer Font)

The HBO show “Eastbound and Down” filmed their third season throughout the Grand Strand area while using TicketReturn.Com Field at Pelicans Ballpark as their headquarters and using the ballpark for all of their in-game scenes.for all of their in game scenes.

Upcoming 2013 Highlights

During 2013 we will be hosting the Coastal Carolina University baseball games here at TicketReturn.Com Field at Pelicans Ballpark for all of their tournament games as well as all of their regular season home games. In total we will host 40 Coastal games during their 2013 season

Should the Chanticleers qualify for the NCAA Regional's they will host those games here at TicketReturn Com Field at Pelicans Ballpark as wellthose games here at TicketReturn.Com Field at Pelicans Ballpark as well.

We will also have the 2012 Christmas Light Show by Shadrack’s Christmas Wonderland in our parking lot with the Christmas Village hosted inside the stadium this year.

We will have a number of celebrations throughout the season as wehonor our 15th season of baseball at TicketReturn.Com Field at Pelicans Ballpark. We are also on pace to win our 1,000 game during the 2013season

During the 2013 season all 70 Pelicans home games will be televised on the MiLB Network.

The Myrtle Beach Pelicans have adopted the Backpack BuddiesProgram as the primary charitable partner of the Make A SplashMondays. The Back Pack Buddies Program provides food, books,clothing and school supplies to impoverished children so thatthey don’t suffer from hunger outside of the school hours andthey don t suffer from hunger outside of the school hours andhave the tools and resources to succeed.

What is Backpack Buddies? It’s part of the Help 4 Kids 501c3 andhas been in existence since 1989 to provide basic necessities tothe children of the working poor in Horry County.the children of the working poor in Horry County.

The Team’s Backpack Buddies Program will include the following:

• Half-price admission for guests that donate an item on the BackPack Buddies donation list;

• A complimentary autographed baseball card from a PelicansPlayer that features him doing community work, rather than atraditional baseball shot;

• A professional baseball experience for the children in the BackPack Buddies Program with a ticket, food, and drink to a game;

• A Celebration of other Community Leaders that are Making aSplash!
