WHAT IS MRP?

• A visual and mechanical evaluation of routine highway maintenance conditions.

• It is a report card for maintenance

Purpose of MRP

• To provide information that should be used to schedule and prioritize routine maintenance activities.

• To provide uniform maintenance conditions that meet established Departmental objectives.

• WHAT DOES THIS MEAN TO ME?

• WHAT IS MY ROLE IN THIS?

• As an inspector, your job is to make sure the contractor follows the plans and specifications.

• MRP criteria is based on the Roadway and Traffic Design Standards. As long as you are following these standards, we will pass MRP.

• Don’t get caught up in things you cannot control, such as plan design. We can get exceptions for these issues and not be scored on them.

• Follow the Standards and Specifications.
