Guidelines for Preparing M.Tech
Project Report 1. Project should be submitted in A4 size, bond paper along with DVD
attached to the Report.(Contents of DVD : PPT, Document of the Project Report, Code, Softwares used, Text file which shows how to install and run the project).On the CD, the following should be written with marker.
a. Title of Projectb. Name & Roll Numbers of studentc. Year of study
2. Number of copies required is 03 1 copy for Guide, 1 copy for Libraary and 1 copy for Department.
3. Typing a. Heading :- Size: 16 , Type: Book Man Old Style , All Capsb. Sub Heading:- Size:14, Type : Book Man Old Style, All Capsc. Sub Sub Heading: Size:14, Type: Book Man Old Style, Italic,
capitalized each wordd. Content( text): Size:12 , Type: Book Man Old Stylee. Spacing :1.5
4. Paper layout : left:4cm, top:3cm, bottom:3cm, right:1.5cm5. Fresh paragraph should start after 8 horizontal spaces (1 tab).6. Page numbers should be displayed on every page bottom ,center.7. Pages:
a. 1st Page: Front Pageb. 2nd Page: Blank Pagec. 3rd Page: Same as Front Paged. 4th Page: Company certificate(for Live Projects only)e. 5th Page: College Certificatef. 6th Page: Acknowledgmentg. 7th Page: Abstracth. 8th Page: Table of contents(Index)i. For the above 8 pages , give the numbering in Roman
Numbers of lower case in bottom ,center.j. Actual Page Numbers starting from 1 starts from the next
page.
8. Binding : Project Report should be in Hard Bound with 2 plain papers in the beginning and end.
9. Before each chapter, one paper with the following data should be attached.
a. Chapter Number (Eg: CHAPTER 1 ) I
10. In the first page of every chapter, Chapter No. & Chapter Name should be displayed in the top ,center .
(For Eg:- 1. INTRODUCTION)
11. Bibliography consists of S. No Author Book Publisher Vol No. Year
12. Model of Index is given in another attatchment13. Each section and sub section in a chapter should be properly
numbered. For example, 1.1, 1.2, 1.3 etc where 1.1 represents chapter 1, and sub section 1. Similarly 1.1.1, 1.1.2, 1.1.3 etc where 1.1.2 represents, chapter 1, section 1 and sub section 2.
14. Figures also should be numbered as Fig 1.1, Fig 1.2 etc where Fig 1.2 represents the 2nd figure in chapter 1.
15. I n System Implementation, under selected software, you need to specify why you have chosen that front end and back end.
