    Joining

Arrange the hexagons according to the above picture. Join the Hexagons around Hexagon 1 then

Hexagon 2 then Hexagon 3. I used the whip stitch.

The gaps which are facing outward will be joined with a special decorative stitch.

Place the border so that one is above and one below.

    1 2 3

Every border side has six gaps. From the

head of one petal to the other.

Start with the gap on the below border

    on the right side.

Crochet one sc in the gap

    Ch 2

Place the yarn in in front of your work and put it from above in the gap at the upper border, and

crochet one sl st. Ch 3 and join with a sl st in the next gap from the bottom border. [3 ch, place the

yarn in in front of your work and put it from above in the next gap from the upper border, and

crochet one sl st. Ch 3 and join with a sl st in the next gap from the bottom border] repeat till the last

gap from the bottom border. 3 ch, place the yarn in in front of your work and put it from above in the

next gap from the upper border, and crochet one sl st. Cut yarn and sew in ends.

    Repeat around the blanket.

    Border

The Hexagons are the highlight of the blanket so I decided on a simple border. Crochet 1 sc in one of

the 1 ch-gaps of one of the hexagons. Around the blanket crochet 1 sc in every dc and 1 sc in every 1

ch-gap. At the joining points of the Hexagons crochet 3 sc.
