The University is dedicated to the accomplishment of social & moral responsibility of transforming young buds into fragrant, glorious flowers by inculcating in them, the seeds of academic and technical proficiency. The University offers a congenial working environment. Our team approach brings together collaborative and multidisciplinary research projects undertaken by the dedicated and experienced faculty. Our well-equipped campus, with its Library enriched with plethora of E-learning repository allows students to keep pace with the rapid change in this technological age.

CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

For acquisition of knowledge in multi-faceted domains, MMU, Sadopur, Ambala has been fervent enough in organizing workshops/Expert Lectures. The information/ glimpses of curricular activities organized @ MMU, Sadopur are expounded below:-

STC on Classroom Communication (28th May – 1st June, 2018) The Department of Computer Science & Engineering organized one week ICT based short term course on “Classroom Communication” in association with Education and Educational Management Department, NITTTR, Chandigarh from 28th May to 1st June, 2018 in the premises to communicate measures that can lead to effective classroom interaction. More than 40 faculty members from various departments participated actively in the STC.

Guest Lecture on Smart Campus Cloud Network(26th February, 2018) A guest lecture was organized on 26th February, 2018 by a leading expert in sustainable technologies and policies Dr. Rajendra Shende, former Director, United Nations Environmental Programme, Paris, presently, Chairman, TERRE Policy Centre and advisor to Media India Group & Board of Council, IIM Rohtak’s Incubator-Bizdome. He has launched ‘Smart Campus Cloud Network’ for bringing sustainability to educational campuses.

CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

National Technology Day Celebration(7th – 8th May, 2018) A two-day Program of “National Technology Day celebration” was organized by MMU Sadopur sponsored by Haryana State Council for Science & Technology from 7th - 8th May, 2018 in the campus premises to stir in our desiring budding engineers, the significance of Technology in today’s era. The two Day program at MMU Sadopur Ambala was composed of ventures Hackathon, Declamation Contest, Poster making Competition, Collage Making, Project Display, Quiz, Workshop on CAD/CAM and Expert talk. The event was envisaged towards acquiring cognizance on various dimensions of technology trends in order to lead our budding engineers towards conception of sound professional life inculcated and furnished with desired skills.The event incepted with an expert lecture on “Career Paths for Technocrats” by Dr. Dixit Gupta, Director, Gate Gurus Chandigarh wherein he elaborated about various career prospects that students can opt in various dimensions of technology.

TEDxMMUSADOPURAMBALA(25th February, 2018) Getting acquainted with multi-faceted domains requires organization of ventures that can cater to escalated cognizance. The second edition of “TEDxMMUSADOPURAMBALA” organized on 25th February, 2018 was inclined towards enlightening people on aspects pertaining to theme “Beginning of Innovation”. TED is a non-professional, apolitical and non-religious event that comes from three different worlds, namely, Technology, Entertainment and Design to play a host to a multitude of speakers from various dimensions of life in spirit of ideas worth spreading. As a mandate, in inception, to navigate the audience to the TED world, a TED introduction video was played. Dr. Harish Sharma, Vice-Chancellor, MMU, Sadopur (Ambala) was the chief guest of the venture. Mr. Aniket, a student of Civil Engineering department was the organizer of the event under the leadership of worthy registrar, Prof. Raman Gupta. The event was conducted considering the Success of our Ist edition of TEDxMMUSADOPURAMBALA, as it has gained prominence to not only to the speakers but to the University as well. With great pride, it is to be noted that talk by one of the eminent speaker Mr. Krishan Chahal alias Memory King has crossed over 1.5 million views. Er. Kamali Gupta was the Master of the ceremony. The second edition was a great success as a succession of talks were delivered by eminent professionals who were experts in their own domain. Second Convocation Ceremony and Alumni Meet(31st January, 2018) M.M.U, Sadopur-Ambala organized its “Second Convocation Ceremony and Alumni Meet” on 31st January, 2018 to confer the degrees upon students of Bachelor Programme (B.Tech, B.Arch and BBA), Post Graduate Programme (MBA, BCA and MSc. Chemistry) and Doctorate of Philosophy Programme(English and CSE). A total of 287 degrees were awarded and16 meritorious students were awarded with Gold Medals. Hon’ble Chief Guest and visitor of the university, His Excellency Prof. Kaptan Singh Solanki, Hon’ble Governor of Haryana was the Chief Guest. Besides, the day was glorified with magnificent presence of Guest of Honour Her Excellency Mrs. Marie Leontine Razandadrasoa, Charge’d Affairs a.e. Embassy of Republic of Madagascar. Subsequent to it, Alumni Meet was conducted in the university auditorium.

VI Annual Sports and Athletic Meet(16th-17th March, 2018) MMU Sadopur, organized its “VI Annual Sports and Athletic Meet” on 16th and 17th March, 2018. A highly decorated volleyball player of India and Arjun Awardee, Dr. Dalel Singh, inaugurated the sports meet. It comprised of events like races, Long Jump, High Jump, Javelin Throw, Shot Put, Volleyball, Kabaddi etc. The best sportsman and best sports-woman trophies were given to M.REVANTH from B.Sc. Agri & Antriksha from B. Arch.
