GENERAL ADMISSION CRITERIA

Maharaja Bir Bikram University, Agartala invites applications in prescribed Application Forms for admission to M.A. in Public Administration, M.A. in English, M.Sc. in Applied Mathematics and Bachelor of Library and Information Science programmes for the academic session 2018-2019. The Application Forms can be obtained from the Administrative Block, MBB University, College Tilla, Agartala, Tripura, between 11.00 AM to 04.00 PM from 61

B. Eligibility Criteria (Essential):

Duration: 4 Semesters [2 (Two) Years]

Candidates who have graduated either with Honours in Public Administration I Political Science OR have graduated with Public Administration I Political Science as an Elective subject at the graduation level from any recognized University under 10+2+3 pattern or equivalent system of education are eligible to apply for admission.

MA in English: Candidates who have graduated either with Honours in English OR have graduated with English as an Elective subject at the graduation level from any recognized University under 10+2+3 pattern or equivalent system of education are eligible to apply for admission.

M. Sc. in Applied Mathematics: Candidates who have graduated either with Honours in Mathematics OR have graduated with Mathematics as an Elective subject at the graduation level from any recognized University under 1 0+2+3 pattern or equivalent system of education are eligible to apply for admission.

Bachelor of Library and Information Science: Candidates with Graduation and I or Master's degree in any discipline from any recognized University under 10+2+3 I I 0+2+3+2 pattern or equivalent system of education are eligible to apply for admission.

However, mere possession of 'Eligibility Criteria' does not entitle right to anyone to take admission in any programme under Maharaja Bir Bikram University, Agartala, Tripura. Regarding admission, decision of the admission committee shaU remain final and binding.

D. Reservation: As per existing reservation policy of the Government of Tripura, the available seats will be distributed. Relaxation of marks for SC/ST/ Persons with Disabilities (PWD) categories will be allowed as per norms adopted by the Government ofTripura.

E. Submission of Application Forms: The Numbered Admission Form duly filled in, completed in all respects and signed by the candidate will be accepted. Please note that:

• No photocopy ofNumbered Admission Form will be accepted. • Only one Application Form should be submitted by a student for one subject. • Submission of Multiple Application Forms for Admission in one subject is strictly prohibited. • Separate Application Form should be submitted for each subject.

F. DETAILED FEE STRUCTURE AND RULES & REGULATIONS WILL BE AVAILABLE IN THE UNIVERSITY NOTICE BOARD AND UNIVERSITY WEBSITE (www.mbbunive•·sity.ac.in) AT THE TIME OF ADMISSION.

IMPORT ANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR ADMISSION

I. Once Admission has been taken by a candidate in any course, his/her applications in other courses, if there is any, will be automatically cancelled.

2. If a candidate fails to take admission within the specified date, his/her selection will be cancelled without further notice.

3. Candidates are requested to submit the following documents at the time of submission of forms: a. Two recent colour Passport Size Photographs. Affix one photograph in the Application Form. b. Self-attested photocopy ofMadhyamik or equivalent examination Admit Card for age verification. c. Self-attested photocopy of Madhyamik and Higher Secondary Marksheets. d. Self-attested photocopy of Marksheets (both sides) of all semesters of B.A. (Hans. I Pass) I B.Sc. (Hans. I

Pass) I B.Com. (Hans. I Pass) Examination, issued by UGC recognized University. e. Self-attested photocopy of Marksheets (both sides) of all semesters and Certificates of M.A./M.Sc. or

equivalent Examination issued by UGC recognized University, if the Candidates possess such qualification. (Only for those who are applying to B.L.I.Sc. Programme).

Price of the Application Form and Instruction Sheet for Admission is Rs. 100/- for General Candidates and Rs. 50/- for SC/ST/PWD Candidates.
