INTRODUCTION
ETERNAL KNOT ABSTRACTION INVERSION FINAL MOTIFYangon is a city in rapid transition, continuously morphed by endless cycles of interwoven urban human activities. Theinterconnected relationships of the city and its constituents share a parallel with the ‘Eternal Knot’ or ‘Endless Knot’, aBuddhist symbol carrying meanings of cyclic existences, the interweaving of the spiritual path and the flowing of timeand movement within that which is eternal. The façade motif derived from the inverse abstraction of this knot isinspired from the intricate connections within the city and expresses the desire for Maha Bandula City to be seamlesslywoven into the city.
