MagickMany hear, and speak of black and white magick. Hmmm

I say really? Hmmm, I thought magick is energy, and energy is neutral,neither black, or white, neither bad, or good, neither positive or negative.

Let us discuss energy first. First we all have energy, we all have auras.

Therefore we all have magickal ability within us.

We know we must respect energy, if you do not, please now put yourfinger wet into an electrical socket, and come back let me know how that

felt.

Like energy, Magick calls forth our respect. To respect something we knowhow to treat and relate to that something. In this case magick.

Magick, as we have agreed is energy, and it is neither good nor bad, it isneutral, aka gray. It is your use of energy, magick that can bless or harm

you, or others.

Here is my other opinion, now although we all have energy, magickpotential within us, we are all not meant to be electricians or Witches.

Does this mean you cannot do or use magick? Nope.

Magick is all around us, we each experience the magick of life.

Think about this, your heart beats without help. And you live.

You are alive, that is magick.

A man and woman can create life, this is magick.

An electrician knows well electricity, its power, and how to channel, howto work with electricity. A Witch is one path of those who know wellmagick, and the powers thereof. As there are laws in working with

electricity, there are laws of magick. Now I am not talking about the law of

which Wiccans adhere to.An it harm none do as thou wilt

There are situations one must harm. I know many will disagree, which isok. SilverRavenwolf said in one of her books, A Witch who does not

know how to curse, does not know how to heal. This is true.

The laws or principles of magick

1. Law of Knowledge: to effect/affect a thing you must know the thing. Themore you know about yourself the more you can know something else.

2. Law of Identification: with your will you can become anything- be onewith anything. (Our only real tool is the brain)

3. Law of Contagion: anything that has been in contact with something else

maintains contact with that thing through the ether.

4. Law of Names: knowing the True Name of something defines the actionyou take to focus a function on that thing.

5. Law of Cause and Effect: under exactly the same conditions using thesame actions you will always obtain the same results.

6. Law of Infinite Data: there is more in the universe than we can sense orknow. Learning never stops.

7. Law of Association: if a thing reminds you of something else it can beused as a simulacrum for that something else for magickal purposes.

8. Law of Infinite Universes: change your perspective in one area and youchange your universe. There are always three choices available. This is the

First Spell of Change.

9. Law of Invocation and Evocation: there are forces outside and inside of

you that you can tap and direct through your brain.

10. Law of Pragmatism: if it works, it is real.

11. Law of Predestination and Free Will: events are predestined, but each

person chooses whether and to what extent to participate in them.

12. Law of Polarity: everything contains and implies its opposite.

13. Law of Magickal Entropy: if you leave something alone for longenough, it will change on its own. Don't be too quick to do magick.

14. Law of Serendipity: If you are on the right track, things will cometogether in unexpected ways, when you least expect them to. You willalways be able to trace a direct cause-and-effect path for this when the

situation is over.

15. Law of Inefficiency: You can often achieve more useful results from anunsuccessful act of Magick than from one that works the way you

intended it to.

16. Law of Synthesis: The combination of any two energy forms will resultin a third energy form more complex than the combination of the original

two.

These are also found in various books on magick as well, and in Wicca alsotaught. The laws continue .

1. As above so below. You can extrapolate the universe from one atom.

2. Rhythm serves as a counterbalancing pendulum.

3. "Chance" is a Law which tends to be ignored.

4. "Time" is a function of perspective, subject to the aggregate psychologicaloutlook of your society.

5. Matter is a function of energy; energy can be converted but notdestroyed.

6. Even though there are always three choices available, you can alwaysthink of another one.

7.There is no such thing as a wrong emotion, just an incorrectinterpretation and manifestation thereof.

8. Don't take yourself too seriously; you are a physical function of a veryyoung race. And Life is a lowlife clever practical joker, that loves to muck

up your plans - keep your sense of humor.

9. It may not matter 10,000 years from now, but if it affects you it matters.Understand it and respond accordingly.

10. Never attribute your own motives to someone else.

11. Most of the magic that truly works arises from the intrusion of theunexpected. Use what you are given.

12. Words of Power draw their power from the perceived power of the onewho utters the words. So when you say "So Mote It Be" you better KNOW

it is so!

13. Don't pee in the beer.

HERMETIC LAWS

1. The Law of Mentalism: The Universe is mental. We exist in the mind ofthe All. That part of us which is deity makes up the world and everything

in it.

2. The Law of Correspondence: We exist in all planes, astral as well asphysical. Or rather planes independent of the physical.

3. The Law of Vibration: Everything is in motion and vibrates with its ownrate of the vibration.

4. The Law of Polarity: Polarity = Power. All things are dual, everything

contains its opposite.

5. The Law of Rhythm: All things are in some way circular, spiral,cyclic, and in order to function the best way, you must adapt to live inharmony with natural rhythms.

6. The Law of Gender: The law of polarity, applied. Everything has bothmasculine and feminine components and energies.

7. The Law of Cause and Effect: There are no coincidences, nothing

happens by chance. Everything is a cycle. For every effect, there is a cause,and every cause is an effect in something else.

The Hermetic Laws are from Esoteric teachings and are one set of manyexplanations for "how It All works".

The Wheel of life or the Year also teaches us there is a time to plant and atime to harvest, and a time to rest.

The Moon cycles, teaches us there is a time to draw in and a time to release.

A time to do magick and a time not to, and just be still.

Balance

One of the thirteen goals of a Witch is to achieve balance.

Balance within, balance and harmony without.

Balance in our magick.

Extremes either way is not wise or good.

Do you know why, many do not like goodie toe shoes?

They are extreme, on everything being light, and right.

In life, it is not all light, and it is not all right, according to how many maythink of as right.

Yes ,balance is vital, for when we do not have balance we have chaos

Life is not all black and white, but grey.

Life is mighty colorful.

The surface of our Moon is grey

The Earth is colorful

Mars is red.

So is Magick

Spirit

All have four elements have destructive potentials, as well as positive.

We live and therefore see both in action.

Spirit embodies all

So in magick

Hence again see the Gray in Magick.
