Magic Wand Slap Band: Instructions

____________________________________________________________________________________ Congratulations on purchasing your very own Magic Gareth’s Magic Wand Slap Band! You now have the power to manipulate the appearing and vanishing of a magic wand! You can spin it, slap it, and even throw it to create your own trick shots. It can be worn on your wrist at all times, ready to perform. This Slap Band Magic Wand may be the most accessible and fun magic wand available today. It can be used as a silly gag or as a real magic wand. The only limitation is your imagination.

- - - The Basic Effect: A magic wand vanishes at your fingertips! Instructions: For video instructions and more, scan the QR Code here. For written instructions, keep reading. The Vanishing Wand: Hold the wand toward the base of your fingers in the middle of the wand, ink side facing out towards the audience. Hold the wand steady with your thumb (Figure 1). Apply pressure to the centre of the wand with the thumb. This will cause the band to snap backwards into your fingers. From the spectator’s point of view, the wand has vanished! ____________________________________________________________________________________ The Paddle Move: Explained A way to show both sides of the wand, in fact only showing a single side (twice). This is a mixture of 2 moves performed simultaneously. Move 1: Hold the wand flat on your fingers, ink facing upwards. The palm is upwards. The thumb pushes up against the long side of the wand, flipping it over (image 2) .

Move 2: the hand rotates inwards, anticlockwise, (image 3) to palm down (image 4). When performed at the same time, the moves simulate showing both sides of the wand when in actual fact, you are only showing 1 side.

Credits: The 'Paddle Move' is a utility move used by magicians which is described in the explanation above. The ‘move’ has been found in print within magic and conjuring books since 1860. There are many great tricks that use the move and can be found easily online. Design: I, Magic Gareth, have designed this Slap Band Magic Wand for you to have fun and always have a magic wand to trick your friends with. I haven’t found another one like this on the market and is therefore a unique piece of magical apparatus. Warning: Do not remove the outer rubber from the wand. Inside the band is a metal strip, this is what makes the band snap into place. This is sharp and if opened can cause injury.
